What Was Justin Rose from 'RHOSLC' Job? Why Whitney's Husband Was Let Go

Justin Rose opened up about being let go from his job on Wednesday night's episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

The 54-year-old has featured on the Bravo show ever since its first began in 2020 as his wife, Whitney Rose, is a member of the original cast.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, one of the newest additions to the Housewives franchise, also features stars like Heather Gay, Jen Shah, Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks, and is currently in the midst of its highly-anticipated third installment.

Justin and Whitney, 36, are both ex Mormons and married after having an affair together and leaving their respective former spouses. They now share two children together, daughter Bobbie and son Brooks.

They have weathered plenty of drama together on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City in the past, but on the November 2 episode it was Justin who was at the centre of the storyline as he confirmed to his wife that he had been let go from his job.

Newsweek has everything you need to know about what Justin's job used to be, and why he doesn't work there anymore.

What Was Justin Rose's Job?

According to Justin's LinkedIn Page, he worked as Chief Sales Officer and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at LifeVantage Corporation for almost seven years.

Before LifeVantage, he worked at Shaklee Corporation as Senior Vice President for almost five years and was also a manager at Nu Skin Enterprises for over 10 years, later taking on the role as president there.

Justin actually announced he had left LifeVantage on Facebook in March 2022, and was seen composing the message that he ended up posting back then on the episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, as the series filmed in the spring of this year.

He wrote on the social media site at the time: "They say as one door closes another door opens. But does the first door really need to close completely? Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited to see what's behind the next door, and just from the first glimpse, it does continue to get better."

"Thank you for the time you've given me to be a part of your journey to this point, and here's to those who choose to continue our journey together moving forward," Justin continued.

"I write this with tears in my eyes as I will truly miss so much about these past [seven] years; they have been some of the best years of my life, but have no doubt I will always support, uplift, edify and in the end ... choose my family first!"

Why Was Justin Rose Fired?

On The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Justin was seen telling Whitney that he had been let go and that his boss at LifeVantage had expressed "concerns" about Whitney's fame due to her role on the TV show.

"He said how much he appreciated the work I had done but, 'With Whitney being a public figure, I just didn't see how we were going to be able to make this continue to work,'" he said. "That was how the conversation started."

Whitney, unimpressed with their reasoning, asked: "So, the fact that your wife has a career and is successful, you can no longer work here?

"This has everything to do with them shaming me for what kind of 'woman' I am."

Whitney then said she believes the issue was an intimate scene between the couple that aired during Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

"It is normal to want to be intimate with your husband. It feels like that final straw is when we did the 'love is art' [scene]," referring to the scene which saw the couple try to reignite their love life by stripping off to their underwear and painting with their bodies.

Justin then explained that he "heard rumblings" that he was going to be fired but was in "shock" to have it confirmed.

Newsweek has contacted LifeVantage for comment.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 3 continues Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. The previous two series are available to stream on Peacock.
