Julie Benz is an American voice artist and actress, known for her role as Darla in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'. She grew up in an upper-class family. Benz is a daughter of George Benz and Joanne Benz. She was educated at Franklin Regional High School. She started her acting career since 1990 and debut her television appearance for the movie “Two Evil Eyes”. Since then she appeared in several renowned movies and also appeared in various television shows. As a voice artist, she provided her voice for video games including 'Everybody's Golf 4' and 'Halo 2.'
Early Life
Julie Benz was born on May 1, 1972, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and she was raised in Murrysville to George Benz and Joanne Marie (née Seemiller). Her mother was a figure skater and father is a surgeon in Pittsburgh.
She completed her graduation from Franklin Regional High School. She learned ice skating at age 3 and in 1988 she competed in U.S. Championships in junior ice dancing with her skating partner David Schilling and finished in 13th place. At the age of 14, she suffered a stress fracture in her right leg and had to take time off.
Personal Life
Julie Benz has married twice; she was first married to actor John Kassir on 30 May 1998 and got divorced in 2007. Later in 2012, she married actor Rich Orosco on May 5, 2012. The couple is still together and there is no sign of getting a divorce soon. Julie Benz does not have children with either previous or present husband, but rumor exists that she is expecting a baby soon.
