Some of the best students in the country, but because it’s still a Philadelphia school the building is crumbling and the teachers are a mixed bag, at least when you even have a teacher for your class. There should be more done to fix the school environment and the pressure put on every student there.
I wont say this school is terrible but it s old and dusty now this is my second year of gong here and it sucks n my first day the teacher left some of her students and yelled at them because they were late. The parent involvement isnt so great because they dont decide to reach out to parents about any situation until it gets around the whole entire school. The teacher are somewhat cool yet you can tell when a teacher has a favorite student there was once a situation where i had to go to the bathroom badly but i had to sign out on my computer s i asked if i could when i came back but she said no and made me wait until class was over and embarrassed me in front of the class, yet when her favorite student yelled at her saying she wasn't going t d it cause it was lame she agreed and laughed and said ok only because she knew where she was going. (mind yu the girl stayed in the bathroom the whole period. Lunch is actually good this year but the time of lunch is 2nd period which is at 9:12...
Overall, most of the teachers are so amazing. They care about their students and want to give them opportunities to succeed. Teachers are easy to reach. Spirit week, international day, and AP Gov Mock election are the absolute highlights of my Masterman experience and I love that I was able to participate in them.
