Josh Brolin uses daughter’s toilet during potty training session

Josh Brolin is taking daddy duty to a whole new level.

The 53-year-old actor felt that seeing is believing while teaching his daughter, Westlyn Reign, how to use the potty. A photo shared by the “Avengers” actor on Instagram shows Brolin with his pants down around his ankles as he sits on the tiny pink potty made for his 2-year-old.

“There’s nothing like the power of example (what to do and what not to do),” Brolin captioned the photo. Westlyn is also in the photo, seen standing next to her dad wearing nothing but a diaper, Mickey Mouse ears and a smile. For her protection, Brolin added a pink t-shirt emoji over her naked body before publishing.

Several other celebrity parents reacted to Brolin’s teaching method in the comments.

“[A]mazing 😂😂😂😂😂,” wrote actor Jason Momoa. Fellow “Avengers” actor Jeremy Renner added, “😂😂😂.”

“Hahahahhahahahhaahhaah. I approve 👏🔥,” commented actor Frank Grillo.

Brolin’s wife and Westlyn’s mom, Kathryn Brolin, jumped into the conversation as well, adding, “Guess that pic of you ‘working out’ on her baby trampoline counts as teaching too…”

A fan responded asking Mrs. Brolin to share the trampoline pic, but unfortunately she’s chosen not to.

Brolin and Kathryn have two children together – daughter Westlyn Reign and their newborn, Chapel Grace, who was born in December 2020. At the time of Chapel’s birth, the proud father shared the meaning behind the unique name he and his wife chose for her.

“Everywhere we have traveled the one place Kathryn and I always found a great solace in were chapels. Not being particularly religious but a God feeling has heavily inundated our lives and chapels have always been sanctuaries where we felt connectedly free to gives thanks,” he captioned a photo of the newborn on Instagram.

Brolin also has two adult children from a previous relationship.
