Jonathan James Cake is an English actor born on August 31, 1967, in Worthing, Sussex. With a passion for the performing arts ignited at a young age, Cake began taking drama classes and participating in plays. As a teenager, he toured Britain with London's National Youth Theatre. After completing his education at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, where he studied English, Cake embarked on a successful acting career. He has appeared in various TV programmes and films, showcasing his talent in roles such as Jack Favell in Rebecca (1997), Oswald Mosley in Mosley (1997), Japheth in Noah's Ark (1999), Tyrannus in Empire (2005), and Det. Chuck Vance on Desperate Housewives (2011–2012).
