JON LOVITZ DESCRIPTION

Jon Lovitz has been a comedy legend since the 1980s, and now he's bringing his stand-up comedy genius to the Tropicana's Laugh Factory to make audiences laugh out loud. 

Starting strong with a stint on Saturday Night Live, where he received his first Emmy nomination, Lovitz's career hit the races at warp speed. Booking multiple film roles in beloved comedies such as The Producers, A League of Their Own, The Wedding Singer, Big, and many others all within the same decade. 

Jon Lovitz is also a talented voice actor that has been featured in multiple films and television shows. Just a few of these appearances include The Simpsons, The Brave Little Toaster, and the Spielberg-produced An American Tail: Fievel Goes West. 

As one of the only actors to become a stand-up comedian after hitting it big, Jon Lovitz has been successfully headlining multiple nightclubs and theaters across the country for the last ten years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Breathe of Fresh Air! We attended the Jon Lovitz show Friday night. He was awesome! Lovitz just tells it the way it is. He doesn’t cater to a politically correct agenda and is fearless if the audience has snow flakes among them. I appreciate that bravery, honesty, and approach that too many comedians cower at the possibility that they may offend someone. As for the venue, which won’t be around much longer, it could have been better. I’ve attended shows here numerous times, attending shows on most trips to Vegas. I didn’t appreciate the deceptive move of adding several auxiliary “booths” and selling these as VIP booths. I purchased VIP booth tickets for this event, expecting to be sat in those established seats that are closer to the stage, than these newer “booths” which are further away. I don’t patronize places that pull this despicable type of behavior. No need though, they will be bulldozed soon enough!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Jon Lovitz was not funny Lovitz was one of our favorite characters on SNL . We enjoy him on the game show, Funny You Should Ask. His stand up comedy show was one of the worse shows that we have ever seen. Jon constantly coughed and even stopped during the show to go behind the curtain to blow his nose. I expect comedians to make fun of politics and Jon was no exception. He missed a grand opportunity when he mentioned Trump and his lies...he could have used his routine of the habitual liar, but no, he did not. Much of his humor was vulgar and the jokes were old, some that we've heard over 50 years ago. Jon is not a spring chicken and should know his audience. I don't think he cared about being funny. I heard a guy sitting next to me apologize to the lady that he brought to the show because of the vulgarity. I expected more from Jon. We were excited to see him. We booked the show for our anniversary. His jokes were not funny and his timing was off. Do better, Jon. Don't perform if you don't want to be funny.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great show. Terrible ticketing. I booked Jon Lovitz on Vegas.com after I received notification that Carrot Top had cancelled. I booked Carrot Top on Vegas.com about noon on the day of the show and received the cancel notice a couple hours later. So I then booked Jon Lovitz for a VIP booth. When I got the the show the box office said that those seats had been sold out, despite the fact that I had a confirmation from Vegas.com. The venue said that Vegas.com was supposed to notify me. The venue was able to seat me but Vegas.com needs better communication with their venues. To book me for a show that cancelled two hours later and then book me for seats that did not exist at another show is bad customer service. But Lovitz was hysterical!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst show in Vegas I was a big fan of Lovitz in the 90s when he was in SNL. I thought he would still be funny but man was I wrong. His material was old and tired and didn’t make us laugh at all. Definitely don’t waste your money.
