'I treasured every moment': Jon Cryer pays heartfelt tribute to Two And A Half Men co-star Conchata Ferrell following her death at 77
Jon Cryer has paid a touching tribute to his late Two And A Half Men co-star Conchata Ferrell.
The actress, who was 77, passed away on Tuesday in a Los Angeles hospital 'as a result of complications following a cardiac arrest,' according to Deadline.
Cryer noted that Conchata's character Berta the housekeeper was a world away from the warm-hearted 'Chatty'.
'Berta's gruff exterior was an invention of the writers. Chatty's warmth and vulnerability were her real strengths,' the actor, 55, tweeted. 'I'm crying for the woman I'll miss, and the joy she brought so many.'

Touching: In a series of heartfelt tweets, Cryer, 55, noted that Conchata's character Berta the housekeeper was a world away from the warm-hearted 'Chatty' and recalled the first time he met her on the set of the CBS sitcom
He recalled how he had first met Farrell on his second episode on the wildly successful sitcom that starred Charlie Sheen, and in its latter seasons, Ashton Kutcher.
'I felt so lucky that they'd been able to cast her on the show. I gushed to her about what a fan i was of hers and she simply refused to believe it,' he shared.
'I had to recount one of my favorite bits of hers from a cancelled mid 70's sitcom called 'Hot L Baltimore' before she finally got that I was serious,' he wrote. 'I'm glad that I absolutely knew how fortunate I was to share a stage with her.'
Cryer added: 'I treasured every moment and will continue to until we meet again. I have a feeling she'll call me Zippy.'

Conchata had been battling ill health for most of this year.
In May, she was admitted to hospital for symptoms stemming from a kidney infection she had over the previous Christmas and into the New Year.
While in the hospital, the three-time Emmy nominee went into cardiac arrest which left her in the ICU for four weeks.
In July, she was transferred to a long-term care facility.
Charlie Sheen also used social media to mark Ferrell's passing, calling her a 'consummate pro'.
Sheen, 55, tweeted: 'an absolute sweetheart, a consummate pro, a genuine friend, a shocking and painful loss. Berta, your housekeeping was a tad suspect, your 'people'keeping was perfect.'

Actor Adam Sandler also paid tribute to the actress, writing on social media, 'RIP. Great lady. Will be missed terribly. So sorry to her family.'

Conchata starred in Two And A Half Men from 2003 to 2015 and received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2005 and 2007.
Her final onscreen appearance was in Netflix's The Ranch with Ashton Kutcher in 2017.
Conchata is survived by her husband Arnie Anderson, whom she married in 1986, and by their daughter, Samantha, 38.
