The Dallas Cowboys aced their first two picks of the NFL Draft, addressing their needs on both the offensive and defensive line.
Even so, they still needed plenty of help at the running back position, and they had just the guy to get the job done.
Unfortunately for them, the guy they needed the most wasn’t available for them when they were back on the clock.
That’s why NFL analyst and diehard Cowboys fan Skip Bayless took to Twitter to complain about the fact that they couldn’t get Blake Corum.
Well, there went Blake Corum, 4 picks before Dallas, to the Rams. He was the driving force for a national champ. Built and timed just like Emmitt. Similar balance. Cowboys badly needed him. I would have taken him with that earlier extra 3rd-rd pick. Bummer. Letdown. Loss.

The Los Angeles Rams snatched Corum four picks before them, and he’s likely going to be their featured back.
Bayless compared Corum’s build to Emmitt Smith’s.
Corum was a driving force in Michigan.
He left Ann Arbor as the all-time leader in rushing touchdowns.
They allowed Tony Pollard to walk away in free agency, and they don’t have any depth or a legitimate candidate to take over.
Now, they’re going to keep on scrapping to find a suitable replacement for Pollard, with Ezekiel Elliott reportedly being linked to a reunion.
Corum, on the other hand, is likely going to be a major part of Sean McVay’s team.
This isn’t a running back-heavy draft by any means, which is why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see that no one, not even Corum, was taken in the first round, but he could definitely outplay his draft stock.
