Well done exhibits on the flood . Dave, our docent, provided in depth information about the thriving community, the businesses, the railroads and the wealthy summer community at the site of the dam failure.
Excellent film to watch. Nice little gift shop.

They had a detailed exhibit that followed the journey of immigrants that had come to Johnstown to work in the steel industry. This was a worthwhile experience. There was also a large exhibit on the area's steelmaking industry, mostly about Bethlehem Steel, which we did not have the time to completely see. This was better than the flood museum in town, in our opinion. Also, the buildings of the former Bethlehem Steel operation are all still standing near downtown.

We stopped here after meeting the owners at another business, they had told us about their wines so we were very interested in tasting as they source different types of grapes. We were not disappointed they have a nice collection of wines and each have a unique flavor. They have a cozy setting area where you can have a glass of wine and they sell a meat/cheese/cracker tray that we enjoyed. They have music on Friday’s in the back that we’ll have to check out next visit to town.

My grandparents are buried here and as we were placing flowers on their graves, we noticed a walking tour of the cemetery. We did not walk it but we did drive through some of the highlighted spots. I love driving around this cemetery because of all the history, old tombstones and monuments.

This is a nice look at history in the area but I wish there was a little more information to it. Most people do this when they go to the Discovery Center which is across a very busy road from this.

This arena has a great classic feel to it. It's a hockey arena from atleast the 50's. I have only been here for hockey games.

Great baseball park in the heart of downtown Johnstown. It was neat to see baseball back in this city to bring it alive. Prices are cheap and it is a good way to experiance the city.

My wife and I spent a long weekend getaway together in Johnstown. For something to do we decided to do the river floating on tubes. The water was great, temperature, height, and flow speed. We had a great time just spending the time together holding hands or tubes just trying to stay straight floating down stream. We will definitely do it again when we go back.

Johnstown Symphony Orchestra is an amazing group of people with exceptional talent. I have never been to a performance that didn't impress me. WE are lucky to have this Symphony in a smaller tow like Johnstown.

Everything was closed on Tuesday! We started walking around Cambria after the Discovery museum was closed. Beautiful period churches and quiet neighborhoods led us to this find! A gallery full of local artists’ creations. Really neat place and shop as well. What a gem! It’s a must see in Johnstown for a visitor. It gives a sense of place and people.

Some have called this the cathedral of Johnstown because of its size and richness of decoration. Hearing the 3,000-pipe organ in this setting is uplifting.
