Johnny Depp holes up in hotel suite while Amber Heard parties with pals during trial

Johnny Depp is spending much of his time alone in a pricey hotel room in London amid his blockbuster libel trial — while ex-wife Amber Heard makes the most of the city’s nightlife with her group of gal pals, a report said Thursday.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star is known for his hard-partying lifestyle, but has been holing up in a $2,500 a night hotel suite where he munches on room service in front of the TV after court each day and goes to bed by 11 p.m., according to The Daily Mail.

“It’s not like Johnny to be this quiet and it’s very hard for him to plow a lonely furrow because normally he’s the life and soul of the party,” a source told the outlet.

The 57-year-old actor is in London for a three-week trial stemming from his lawsuit against The Sun newspaper, over an April 2018 article that referred to him as a “wife beater” — which he vehemently denies.

Heard, 34, has accused Depp of repeatedly assaulting her during their doomed relationship. She’s expected to take the stand next week as the key witness for the defense.

But ahead of her testimony, the “Aquaman” star is letting off steam, partying with a group of glamorous women dubbed “Team Heard,” who are rallying around her during the trial, the Mail reported.

“The trial has been quite a contrasting experience for both of them. While Johnny has been alone and looking quite miserable, Amber appears to be having a great time,” the source said.

“She looks really glamorous and happy. It’s as if she’s on a girl’s holiday.”

The girl gang was photographed leaving Oswald’s — a private drinking club in the city where bottles cost in the hundreds of pounds — at around 1:40 a.m. Thursday, the report said.

Their itinerary has also included dinners out on the town, shopping trips and visits to other exclusive bars.

The group is made up of Heard’s sister Whitney Henriquez, the actress’ girlfriend Bianca Butti, American attorney Elaine Bredehoft and Heard’s British legal advisor Jenifer Robinson, a high-flying barrister who also represents WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, according to the Mail.

“The women she’s with have really got behind her,” the source said. “They’re strong, positive women who are delighted with the way things have gone in court so far.”

“They’ve already had a few minor victories and are optimistic that they’re going to have more and are determined to have a good time while they are in London.”

Depp’s relative isolation, meanwhile, could be due to the fact that he’s barred from discussing the case with anyone while he testifies. He’s expected to be in the witness box until Friday.

He hasn’t even called his children for fear that the case will crop up during a conversation, according to the Mail.

“He doesn’t want to take any risks with his case and accidentally discussing it,” said the source.

“It’s quite challenging giving evidence for so long and this is probably the closest he’s come to clean living for a long time.”
