Johnny Depp's son Jack turns 18: see a rare photo of him

Johnny Depp’s son, Jack, has turned 18 — and there’s a new photo of the rarely-seen teen to mark the occasion. Depp’s daughter, actress and model Lily-Rose Depp, paid tribute to her “baby bro” Thursday on social media. She shared a series of photo booth pictures of them together as kids — and a second photo showed a shirtless “Jackie” today. She wrote that her sibling is her “heart and soul.”

The throwback pictures, which are not dated, show the silly siblings — whose mom is French singer, model and actress Vanessa Paradis — making funny faces, scary faces and sticking out their tongues, among other poses. Baby Jack, who looks around 2 or 3, is wearing a Flash shirt along side his future model sis, who is about three years older, with painted-nails and a purse.

The second photo shows Jack (real name: John Christopher Depp) sitting on a chair on a patio. He’s wearing only blue shorts and shades while he holds a pen and paper. He has the same strong jawline as his dad, who made his first movie (A Nightmare on Elm Street) at age 20.

Not a whole lot is known about the teen, who doesn’t have a social media presence, except for bits and pieces shared by his famous parents. Depp told Rolling Stone in 2018 that his son was in a band. (It’s named “Clown Boner” Depp proudly told the mag, adding, “We don’t need a paternity test. That’s my kid.”) A year earlier, Depp told Jimmy Kimmel he refused to teach Jack how to drive because “he has my instincts, my boy. He's crashed around five golf carts.” Depp added that Jack didn’t play golf. And while Depp once said Jack had no interest in acting, he did have a role in Kevin Smith’s 2016 Yoga Hosers, a movie starring Lily-Rose. (Jack flipped the bird at his sib in the movie.)

In 2018, Paradis cancelled a public appearance, citing her son’s “serious health problems,” leading to gossip and speculation about Jack. However, a source close to Depp said soon after that Jack was “fine” and didn’t “have a health issue.”

Depp has been in the headlines for the last several years amid his nasty battle with ex-wife Amber Heard. Paradise is among those who has shown support for her former partner, writing a letter praising his character in his ongoing defamation lawsuit.
