John Talbot was a member of the aristocracy in England.
John Talbot, 3rd Earl of Shrewsbury, 3rd Earl of Waterford, 9th Baron Talbot (12 December 1448 – 28 June 1473) was the son of John Talbot, 2nd Earl of Shrewsbury and Lady Elizabeth Butler. He was noted in the Talbot Pedigrees in the Visitation of Shropshire. [1] and the Visitation of Worcester[2]
John married Catherine Stafford, daughter of Humphrey Stafford, 1st Duke of Buckingham and Anne Neville, daughter of Ralph Neville, 1st Earl of Westmorland and Joan Beaufort, Countess of Westmorland.

- George Talbot, 4th Earl of Shrewsbury (c. 1468 – 26 July 1538).
- Thomas Talbot (born 1470).
- Anne Talbot (born 1472). Married Thomas Butler. [Needs checking]
Research Notes
This profile previously stated that John Talbot was a Knight Companion of the Garter (KG). This was due to an error on Wikipedia which has now been corrected. This John Talbot was not a KG, but the John Talbot, 5th Earl of Shrewsbury was created KG in 1457, which may have caused the confusion.[3]
