Of all the wacky things we’ve seen on The Drew Barrymore Show, John Legend serenading Drew Barrymore‘s bearded dragon may just take the cake.

During this morning’s episode of the hit daytime talk show, Barrymore bonded with the singer over sharing the same pet; they each own a bearded dragon. After Legend revealed that his is named Sebastian, he told the audience, “It’s hard to tell what sex [bearded dragons] are so we may have named a girl bearded dragon Sebastian.”

When they returned from the commercial break, the former Voice coach agreed to sing a song for Barrymore’s pet, whose name is Jeremy.

“I can’t even believe this is about to happen. There are days of your life where you just think is as good as it’s gonna get. And I know it’s that for Jeremy,” the actress said, before Jeremy was rolled out to the stage, perched on a miniature piano and surrounded by rose petals.

“Look at this beautiful, romantic piano we’ve got set up here,” Legend said, while Barrymore replied, “Sexy, right?”

While the musician noted that Jeremy was “naked on the piano,” the 50 First Dates star pointed out that her pet was doing “his or her best Burt Reynolds.”

As Legend prepared a song in his head, the lights dimmed to a blue tint to set the mood. Barrymore joked, “That’s right Jeremy, there’s been a light change,” as Legend began to sing his hit song, “All of Me,” with a bit of a twist.

Instead of belting out, “Give your all to me / I’ll give my all to you,” he sang, “Jeremy / Don’t poop on me” in the same tune.

When he wrapped up his short performance, Barrymore threw herself to the floor where she laid face-down for a moment as she soaked in what had just happened. Eventually, she got up and looked at her reptilian pal and told him, “Jeremy, you know this is as good as it’s ever gonna get.”
