Career of John Alexander(Actor)
The most rememberable role of John Alexander was in the classic movie 'Arsenic and Old Lace' in which he played the role of Teddy Brewster opposite to the Cary Grant. In one play of Broadway 'same name', he has portrayed a role in 1941 on which a movie is also based. In 1945 he portrayed a role of Steve Edwards in 'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn', in 1948 he played the role of Mr. McComber as Summer Holiday in 1952 he played Howard Shipley in 'The Marrying Kind' and in 1950 he appeared as Jack Riker in Winchester '73. He has given a starred guest appearance in many television series from the 1950s and early 1960 including 'Adventures of the Sea Hawk', 'Car 54, Where Are You?', and 'The Phil Silvers Show'. He gave his last appearance on the Broadway comedy 'Never Too Late' in which he played Mayor Crane.
