It was a disappointing afternoon for Celtic and Joe Hart, who watched two goals hit the back of his net, unable to do something to keep them out, despite getting the slightest of touches onto the St Mirren opener.

The goalkeeper had only conceded one league goal this season but had let double that in on Sunday afternoon.

It’s a disappointing day for Celtic, but Hart has reminded fans of this season’s highs and has stated that the result doesn’t define the team as they continue their hard work.

Speaking to Celtic TV, the English goalie said;

Yes, it is [a really frustrating day]. We need to hold our hands up and say we were not good enough. We are on it more times than we are not. It is frustrating, but that does not define us. Just like when we win 9-0. Our hard work stays the same.”

In the grand scheme of things, it’s not the biggest of deals. Celtic still sit two points clear of the Rangers. Admittedly it would be nice if the gap stayed at five. It does mean that Celtic’s thirty-eight-game unbeaten streak comes to an end. It’s got to be said, it’s an impressive tally that spanned out 364 days.

The hard work will continue as Celtic push on to defend their title.

  1. Sorry joe ..who mentioned hard work continues …there was very little hard work today from ANY of thex16 players…large part of the reason we got suckered by a basic team who effin well DID WORK HARD
