From the summer of 2021 we have once again been able to travel more freely. But I have continued to focus my effort at home, and with major exhibitions to deliver on Fountains Abbey, and the woodland of the North York Moors (in collaboration with Simon Baxter) I had every reason to remain mainly in North Yorkshire. Having now lived in the county for 28 years I continue to discover its hidden secrets and extraordinary variety of landscapes. This calendar also celebrates the wonders of Northumberland and Cumbria which along with County Durham and North Yorkshire form the Far North of England.
Joe Cornish, July 2022
