James M. "Jim" Voigt
Clearwater, Minnesota - A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta, for James M. "Jim" Voigt, age 77 of Clearwater, who passed away at his home on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Reverend Jose Edayadiyil and Reverend Gregory Lieser will Con-celebrate. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery with full military honors.
Family and friend may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the St. Mary Help of Christians Parish Center. The St. Augusta Legion will perform their ritual at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Jim was born on September 3, 1940 in Lynden, Township, Stearns County to Tobias and Mary (Kloeppner) Voigt. He served honorably in the United State Army. Jim married Patricia Winter on July 8, 1967 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta. He raised beef cattle and also worked as a Bread Route Salesmen for Country Hearth for 38 years. Jim was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians and the St. Augusta American Legion Post #621.
He enjoyed amateur baseball, woodworking with his fellow legion members, and was extremely active in the St. Augusta American Legion.
Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pat; sons, Allen of Lake Henry, Todd (Amy) of Clearwater, Brent of South Haven; grandchildren, Gavin, Cyanne, Toby, Bethany, Cody, Kyle; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Gerald, Cyril, Loretta Janski, Jeanette Gohman, Roger, and Dennis.

i didn't know Jim personally, but I always appreciated his friendly wave if he was outside as I went by on my way to work in St Cloud.

My thoughts and prayers to you Pat, Todd, Allen and Brent. So many good talks with Jim and baseball, he loved his baseball! I always enjoyed his great passion for what he loved and who he loved. My sympathies to you in your loss of such a good man.

To the family of Jim Voigt, I got to know Jim very well through my years with The American Legion. I found him to be a very dedicated Legionnaire and a person that was proud of his military service. I want to express my sincere sympathy to you for your loss.
