Social Media Roundup: “Harry Potter” Edition

Welcome back. It is time to use our Time-Turners once again and see what some of the Wizarding World stars have been up to in the latest edition of MuggleNet’s Social Media Roundup! The past two weeks have seen a Harry Potter family reunion, a book signing, Pride Month well-wishes, celebrating being fully vaccinated, and fun in the sun.

James Phelps (Fred Weasley) joined podcasters Sarah and Leni from Once Upon a Trash Talk, where they spoke about aliens, mermaids, Marvel, and of course, Harry Potter.

He also showed his filled-out vaccination card after receiving his second shot.

Have you ever sat down to sign a bunch of copies of your book being released soon and realized that you signed someone else’s name? Jessie Cave (Lavender Brown) joked that she signed as Cameron while talking about Cameron Diaz when signing her books.

Celebrating a birthday was Luke Youngblood (Lee Jordan), who shared a throwback picture from his fifth birthday.

Also celebrating a birthday was Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), who played Tom Felton’s (Draco Malfoy) dad in Harry Potter.

Speaking about the Malfoy family reunion, while out to see a movie, Tom Felton just happened to run into his son… that’s right – Bertie Gilbert (Scorpius Malfoy), which shows us just how much time has passed since the final film.

Wishing everyone a happy Pride Month and sending virtual hugs was Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley).

Stephen Fry (narrator of the UK Harry Potter audiobooks) acknowledged that mental health services are struggling to reach those who need it most. Fry is supporting the #BrakeTheSystem project as it raises money to fund mental health aid in schools.

Sharing that she has a book coming in 2022, Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) spent some time learning from the Ecology Center.
