I like Jennifer Lawrence. She is an excellent actress. She seems to be trying deal with her success…put it into perspective instead of riding high on it or shoving it down so that it means nothing…it is an admirable trait. She is one of the few famous people that it might be nice to actually have a conversation with…one of the very very few.

Favorite Quotes from Shaun Weiss

“Token Jew? Hmm… felt more like the token fat kid. The schools I attended were predominantly Jewish, so for a couple years, there was a bar/bat mitzvah every weekend, sometimes two. It was fun watching them try to top each other. Kept waiting for Streisand to show up and bust out the Hava Nagila.” – Shaun Weiss

“I assume you mean Emilio, the real guy. Best advice: “If you’re going to hook up with the extras, get their parents to sign a release form.” Kick Conway’s ass? What kind of mensch are you, guy?” – Shaun Weiss

“We had three months of hockey camp. Skating didn’t come easy for me—I spent the first month on my ass. Never wanted to quit, but I did wish the movie was about the Oregon football team.” – Shaun Weiss”

“Believe it or not, right after I did `Heavyweights,’ I was so inspired that I went to a real, quote-unquote, fat camp. I was 185 pounds, and I slimmed down to 152. So I went to this audition for the BBC in late August, and they said, `He’s too thin.’ I had to put it back on.” – Shaun Weiss

“We decided to give the producers a little run for their money. I was having hot dogs for lunch, so we got the entire cast to play sick to freak everybody out. We were all complaining, saying `My stomach is killing me.’ Finally, we started throwing up we were faking it. The producers went crazy. They nearly had a heart attack.” – Shaun Weiss

“Of course it all touched a nerve for me. The movie is not about skinny or fat. The movie is about being yourself and accepting what you are.” – Shaun Weiss

Favorite Quotes from Richard Lewis

“I read somewhere that when I go on stage, people realize that they’re not me and they feel better. When I walk off the stage, people know who I really am. I’m not saying it’s great comedy, cool comedy or better comedy – but that’s what I do, and I do it first for myself.” – Richard Lewis

“I was 23, and all sorts of people were coming in and out and watching me, like Steve Allen and Bette Midler. David Brenner certainly took me under his wing. To drive home to my little dump in New Jersey often knowing that Steve Allen said, ‘You got it’ – that validation kept me going in a big, big way.” – Richard Lewis

“I never gave much thought to anything since I was 22 years old, when I got into the arts, so when Larry David came to my house in 2000, I didn’t even think about it – I just thought about showing up on the set.” – Richard Lewis

“I was way more comfortable in front of strangers than I was in front of relatives. So when they would laugh at my dysfunctions or my anxiety, I felt less alone, and I still do it for the same reason.” – Richard Lewis

Favorite Quotes from Michael Rapaport

“So to compare the Beatles, obviously, the Beatles are the Beatles, but in hip-hop terms, Tribe is the Beatles. Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five are the Beatles. Big Daddy Kane is Jimi Hendrix. It means that much to people that grew up with it.” – Michael Rapaport

“I heard Q-Tip on the Jungle Brothers’ song ‘The Promo.’ It was very exciting. It was very new. The music and the culture around hip-hop were evolving. I think there’s an emotional quality to their music and there’s a vulnerability to the music. For me, A Tribe Called Quest was my Beatles.” – Michael Rapaport

“I grew up in New York City in the ’80s, and it was the epicenter of hip-hop. There was no Internet. Cable television wasn’t as broad. I would listen to the radio, hear cars pass by playing a song, or tape songs off of the radio. At that time, there was such excitement around hip-hop music.” – Michael Rapaport

“I love my kids, and the moments I have with them, and it’s kind of weird, it’s such an age-old cliche, but the way that my sons, the way they make me feel when I look at them, the way they say things, no one else would probably react to them, but it’s a special thing for me.” – Michael Rapaport
