I usually go here for breakfast, and it has always been great. The service is friendly and the food is generous and always tasty.

We had breakfast today and it was great. Yummy omelet, biscuits, gravy and you have to eat the homemade jellies! But Friday nights are also fantastic for their AYCE fish fry. Service is always good. Very attentive.
I have never been disappointed in Jennie Rae's. Used to go a lot and it has been awhile so planning a trip this Friday if possible. Service always great and friendly - they used to have beer and wine but think they do not anymore...and sometimes a nice cold beer hit the spot. But still worth going just for the delicious food!More
My Husband and I went there for dinner Friday April 16th 2021 We both had the fish all you can eat, Our dinner came a little fast. The fish was raw, and cold. they were out of cole slaw so they substituted for crab salad...and cottage cheese. The crab salad was spoiled and so was the cottage cheese. The corn bread tasted like it has been sitting out for month's. we ate the fish and went home, up all night with stomachache. The service was okay, I ask her if they were serving the fish, she said it's up on the board. Im like were is the board? anyways. We will never be back!!! My advise to Jenny is to get a better Chef. and get fresh food.More
Worked there for a month, owner is "bipolar" is the excuse for her behavior, then I watched my father die, as the owner is sending me question marks??? As to why I'm not at work, inform the owner that I just watched my father die,...so she has her brother fire me, claiming no call no show. Foods good if you can afford small quantities at a large price though...More
While seeking out some of the "flavor" of the old and historic Lincoln Highway -- 100 years old since 2013 and the first transcontinental auto route -- I learned of Jennie Rae's which occupies what was once known as Bob's BBQ on the Lincoln Highway's...1913 alignment in Indiana. Before our trip, I checked out Jennie Rae's Facebook page and immediately realized two things. Number 1, the owners take absolute pride in their establishment. Number 2.... I HAD to try one of those PIES! So, when the time came to take our trip out to explore some Lincoln Highway towns, we set on Jennie Rae's for a snack. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, the coffee was fresh, the list of pies to choose from included a nice variety, and the Cherry Pecan Crunch was delicious! The Caramel Apple Crunch that I took home for later also proved to be a winner. I wish I lived closer to this place! For Lincoln Highway buffs, or any fan of nostalgia, the restaurant also displays a few odds and ends from the legendary Bob's BBQ's heyday: some vintage linen postcards on the wall, a few dishes and glassware, photos on the walls, and even some old room keys from the motel court that used to serve travelers. I will definitely stop here again if my travels take me back through Rolling Prairie. I'm sure the pie selection varies and I'd love to try others. Did I mention they sell their jam, too?More
Wife and had breakfast, was somewhat full house but not a madhouse. Waited 5 minutes for coffee, people who came in after us were given coffee and their order taken before we ever got coffee. Had to ask for a second cup of coffee, basically...if you're not a regular you'll be treated like a second class citizen. Food was ok, nothing special, but it was only breakfast, difficult to screw that up.More
We were in the area for my daughter's volleyball tournament and were very happy to find this nice diner. We actually ate there twice in one day due to its proximity to the volleyball center. We had nice breakfasts and later lunch. Other parents and...our 13 year old daughters all enjoyed this place as well. Very reasonably priced and tasty. If we ever pass through would definitely stop by again. Just check the hours as they might not always be open for dinner.More
Stopped in for late lunch. Special is pot roast and sides. The roast was great! Mashed potatoes was mmm good! Service was great!
Food is good but waitresses very unfriendly feel like I’m doing them injustice by having to wait on me
This is a neat roadside restaurant that is frequented by locals, workmen and travelers alike. They have great breakfast and lunch menus. Our service was friendly and efficient. The meals were plentiful and delicious. Give it a try if you are in the area.
We had left Elkhart IN on the way to Wisconsin. Didn't want to do the toll road so we took the back road of US 20. We were getting hungry and needed our cup of coffee. Saw this place on the east side of Rolling...Prairie as we were entering town. Glad we stopped as the food and service were both great. The breakfast held us all day until we got to the hotel at the end of the day.More
I went with a party of 10 to eat breakfast at Jennie Rae's recently. We were served promptly and politely and we all enjoyed our meals. I had the Jennie Rae's Breakfast Croissant which was impressive in both size and taste. Their homemade jam was...so good that we bought a jar to take with us. I also remember that the cooks were very accommodating when they were notified that members of our group had food allergies. I appreciate that their excellent food and service contributed to a very nice visit that I had at the restaurant with friends that I had not seen in a very long time.More
First of all, let me start by saying the food was great, which is the only reason I gave a "2"! It's just a shame we will probably never go back to have it again. We were passed off to 3 different waitresses, while all...other tables around us were well taken care of by their one. We ran out of water that we couldn't even get a refill on. I just did not feel as though we were welcome there in the least.More
Called 5 mins ahead and asked if they could accommodate a bus of 31 people. They got us in very quickly. All in group thought both breakfast and their lunch food was delicious. The staff was great and friendly. Would definitely recommend!
