The thread above is misleading, as it seems when someone tries to comment in regards to the original poster, the post is deleted, so you only can read the negative comments??
I'm currently staying in the apartments now and have been for the past month.
After a long search for short-let apartments, as well as seeing various hotels, I believe these apartments are a good deal.
I paid $450 for a month and this was the cheapest I found after contacting other short-let apartments in the area. Hotels are cheaper - but because I'm staying here for a number of months, I don't want to live in a bedroom. Here I have my own kitchen, balcony, cooking facilities and space etc. And when I looked round the hotels, the standards aren't great, very basic.
Jennies Apartments are done up well, with a lot of effort put into the decor and furnishings and they are new apartments, so a lot of the fittings and furniture are in very good condition. Jennies Apartments are done up well, with a lot of effort put into the decor and furnishings and they are new apartments, so a lot of the fittings and furniture are in very good condition. You can see from the pictures on the website and I have included my own. Because I've stayed in 2 apartments - I have uploaded pics from both apartments. For the $450 a month - it averages out around £9 a night (depending at the time on currency exchange - for me, £ to $) - and what I could get for that in a hotel compared to here, doesn't compare.
The staff are super friendly and whatever I asked, they have been more than happy to do. I asked for more chairs for the balcony, I asked for a high swivel chair for the apartment, I asked for a bigger cooker etc. and they've always happily obliged and very quickly.
From my own experience of looking and living here - these apartments are the cheapest - but the price doesn't mean the quality is compromised.
Reading the other review / mention on here is misleading for people looking for apartments in the area. Someone says you can rent from $70 - $300 a month. Sure you can get cheaper apartments in Nha Trang and Vietnam, but that's for locals. If you rent here like a local - you're going to have to pretty much commit to a year's contract - and your not going to be in easy access of the main areas. I have visited cheaper places - but they are far out, so unless you are going to purchase / rent your own transport, you are going to have to rely on getting taxis everywhere. And I don't actually believe it is legal though non Vietnamese do rent there.
After reading that comment, I felt it was irresponsible - as it doesn't list the other info and someone like me who was looking for an apartment for a few months, I then had this idea I could rent for $70 - $300 a month.... but you can't if basing on the practical issues, as I found out.
In terms of cleanliness, you get regular cleaners who are thorough. I didn't actually realise the cleaning is included because this was a short let rather than a hotel type deal - so I was pleasantly surprised. Linen is included and fresh towels and bed linen is changed regularly. The apartment is equipped with pots, pans, mugs, plates, cutlery etc. So you don't have to worry about buying anything - and if you do need something - from my experience, if they have it - they will provide it if you ask.
You can also buy things cheaply in Nha Trang, aside well as shops and the tourist shops - if you want a big supermarket - there is one called Maximart (and another one as well). We walk there and get a taxi back due to shopping bags etc. (it's about 80p - so it doesn't break the bank!!)
As for location, you couldn't get more central. You are right in the middle of where all the bars, restaurants, cafe's, shops etc.. are and you walk along one road and you are at the beach.
The only down side can be the location and noise. But it's always difficult to find a central location without the noise issues, it's a compromise.
I came here at the worst time - during the World Cup - and so could hear all the boozers shouting and singing etc. - I actually spoke to Jennie here and said it was too noisy - and they then offered me a new apartment on the other side of the building - and gave me a choice of a few to choose from. The apartment I'm now in is quiet and much bigger (and they gave the upgrade free).
I am someone who doesn't like tourist traps and I'm not a drinker, so being in this area doesn't suit me in ways - but the fact that they moved me for free to a quiet and bigger apartment is great. If you are in an apartment on the other side it seems to make a difference.
Overall I would recommend these apartments. I am writing this because I was dubious. Before arriving to Nha Trang, like anyone, I was afraid of getting a place I might regret and trying to do searches online and reading reviews, I was put off by what I read.
Now having arrived here and experienced for myself, I would recommend Jennie's Apartments and mention that they are the cheapest apartments and best I've personally found and I hope this information helps anyone, who like me was trying to find a decent apartment that wasn't going to break the bank.
As for the rates - it seems cheaper to rent direct with Jennies Apartments rather than through a hotel booking site, as if you try 30 days on the one night rates using the main hotel booking sites, it comes out a lot more expensive (it quoted me around £670 on hotel booking sites and I paid around £265 for the month). When I emailed Jennie - I received a reply back the same day and all communication has been very quick.
I'm also a fitness person and there is a gym (Nha Trang fitness) within about a 12 minute walk from the apartments - and you can pay each visit, or weekly or buy a card for 10 visits. I add this as well, as for me it was useful to know.
I've been here over a month now as a solo traveller and now another person has joined me as a couple, but because of the size etc. it's okay with 2 people.
There is a laundry facility on site that is super cheap, about £1.50 (depending on the amount you have) to get all your clothes washed and returned, folded in a sealed bag within 24 hours. I've generally paid about £1. Because of the balcony, I also hand wash some items and they dry within a couple of hours outside because of the weather.
The apartments I've been in are well equipped to cope with heat as well..The last apartment I had had a ceiling fan and another wall fan and an AC and this apartment has a wall fan and AC - both are modern and remote controlled as well.
There are LCD screens and a range of channels - there are a few English speaking movie channels with lots of films to watch and things like National Geographic and documentaries etc. So the TV selection is okay (for English people - or speakers). I don't really watch TV generally in life - but I have watched a few films and documentaries here... there are also sports channels for people into it.
Overall I would recommend this place.More
