Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan may be locked in a legal battle over finances six years after they announced their split, but the parents of 10-year-old daughter Everly still remain amicable.

“They have been coparenting and although the remaining money issues are frustrating, they don’t hate each other,” a source tells PEOPLE.

As PEOPLE previously reported, Tatum, 44, and Dewan, 43 — who met on the set of the 2006 film Step Up and wed in 2009 — don’t see eye-to-eye over financial issues, including profits reaped from the Magic Mike franchise.

Tatum produced and starred in three films, which collectively earned hundreds of millions of dollars at the box office. The male stripper movies have also spawned a live Las Vegas stage show and a reality series.

Dewan has claimed in court documents that Tatum used “marital funds” to acquire the intellectual property, and is hoping for an “equal division.” His side, meanwhile, argues that he has “expended extensive efforts…towards the enhancement of the Magic Mike intellectual property and related entities” since the former couple’s separation in 2018.

Unable to come to an agreement in mediation, Tatum and Dewan are now headed for a trial, which is scheduled to begin Dec. 8.

“Both would like to get beyond these final issues,” another source tells PEOPLE. “Each is in love with someone else and wants to move ahead.”

Indeed, Tatum is engaged to Zoë Kravitz, 35, whose directorial debut, Blink Twice, stars Tatum and premieres in theaters this summer. “He is happy with Zoë and wants to build a life with her,” the first source tells PEOPLE.

Dewan, meanwhile, is expecting her second child with former Shameless star Steve Kazee, 48, with whom she shares son Callum, 4.

She spoke with PEOPLE on April 23 at the Baby2Baby Mother’s Day Celebration Presented by Aquaphor at The Grove in L.A.

“I feel really good overall. I will say, third pregnancy while chasing two other kids around definitely makes you a little more tired,” she said.

“I find my crawling into bed at 9 p.m. is definitely different this pregnancy. But overall, great, everything's been going well. And it's been wonderful. But I’m without a doubt a little bit more tired,” she continued.

She added that Kazee has been a great support system: “He is really good with cravings and also amazing with, helping out with Eve and Callum, with their schedules. And he’s constantly reminding me to rest, which is really nice. He’s amazing in that way.”
