Jeff Bezos and gal pal Lauren Sanchez weren’t just lunching in New York City with Sanchez’s ex and his wife last week — the two couples spent the whole weekend together, sources told On The Money.
Page Six on Friday published photos of Bezos and Sanchez finishing up a late lunch at Cipriani with Sanchez’s ex Tony Gonzalez and his wife, October. But sources tell On The Money that the group also had been seen Thursday night at The Grill, the swanky steakhouse that occupies the old Four Seasons space in the Seagram Building.
A source said Sanchez and Gonzalez — an NFL Hall of Famer who played tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs — were spending some quality time with their 20-year-old son, Nikko. Confirming all are on good terms, stepmother October posted a photo of herself with Sanchez to Instagram Friday, captioned, “When you share kids with your friends #parentweekend2021.”
Indeed, sources said the group appeared to be having a blast as they celebrated the latest rocket launch of Bezos’ space company Blue Origin, which sent 90-year-old William Shatner into space last Wednesday. Gonzalez wasn’t at last week’s Blue Origin launch, but sources said he had attended a July 20 launch that had briefly sent Bezos into space.
After Sanchez and Gonzalez split, he went on to marry October in July 2007. The couple share son River, 11, and daughter Malia, 13. Sanchez went on to marry Patrick Whitesell in 2005, with whom she shares daughter Eleanor, 13, and son Evan, 15.
Sanchez reportedly began dating Bezos in 2018 — while they were both still married — and filed for divorce from Whitesell in 2019.
