First Look: Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron’s romantic comedy A Family Affair Gets a Release Date

The first trailer for The Family Affair has been made available on Netflix, over a year after the movie’s announcement. Along with Joey King, Liza Koshy, Kathy Bates, and Shirley MacLaine in supporting parts, the romantic comedy stars Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Joey King. Carrie Solomon wrote the screenplay and Richard LaGravenese, who is best known for P.S. I Love You and Beautiful Creatures, is the director. On June 28, A Family Affair will be available only on Netflix.

The movie was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, between August and October of 2022. Following the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strikes, the film’s original release date of November 17, 2023, was rescheduled. An elderly lady and a younger guy fall in love in a family affair. It features Zac Efron as movie star Chris Cole, who develops feelings for Nicole Kidman, who plays Zara, the mother of Joey King, his assistant. Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron are 20 years apart in real life.

Nicole Kidman, 56, seems stylish and sophisticated in the first look images released by Netflix. She has blonde hair and wears neutral-colored, “quiet luxury” ensembles. Famous for the Kissing Booth series, Joey King, seems carefree in her T-shirts and jeans. King looks lively because of the way her hair is done to showcase her natural wavy texture. Zac Efron portrays a movie star and looks every bit stylish. Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron are seen holding hands while strolling along deserted streets and exchanging sly looks in the still images. The images also convey the unease and disgust that Joey King’s character feels towards her mother and boss’s sexual connection.
