Rangers: Pundit moots Hall of Fame place for ‘unbelievable’ star

Rangers: Lee McCulloch moots Ibrox Hall of Fame place for ‘unbelievable’ James Tavernier

Rangers ace James Tavernier deserves a place in the club’s Hall of Fame, according to Lee McCulloch.

The pundit believes there is no debate regarding the Ibrox captain and such a place given his “unbelievable” services to the club.

The 32-year-old has made 449 appearances for the Scottish club, scoring 122 goals along the way [Transfermarkt].

“There’s no debate for me at all, anyway,” said McCulloch, as per the Daily Record. “Just no debate. No argument whatsoever. Look at the goals he’s scored, the games he’s played – over 300 games.

“To my knowledge the Hall of Fame, you get invited into it for your services to the club. I think James’ services to the club have been unbelievable. A lot of people go on about his goals, which they should.

“But they are also quick to point out that it’s the other side of his game which is…whatever. I think he’s been an outstanding servant for the club. I think he thoroughly deserves to have a place in the Hall of Fame. That’s where it ends for me.”

James Tavernier showing no signs of slowing down at Rangers

Tavernier really has been sensational at the Ibrox giants, with the right-back sticking with the club through thick and thin over the years.

He has been hugely important both on and off the pitch, shining brightly in defence and attack and helping young players come through the ranks.

And the defender has proven his worth once again this season, with Tavernier already boasting 21 goals and 10 assists as he approaches his 50th appearance in all competitions.

Rangers boss Philippe Clement, fans of the club and indeed Tavernier’s teammates are all fully aware of just how important he is and has been over the seasons, with an Ibrox Hall of Fame place surely going his way in the near future.
