Young Honey Wynn (Freda Holloway) and Pete Porter (Paul Carr) want to be singing stars. Grace Shaw (Kay Medford) and Lew Arthur (Bob Pastene) are the managers who manipulate the two songbirds to perform as a duo (although Honey’s singing voice is provided here by Connie Francis).
Although the plot is almost non-existent, almost every act from the early days of American rock ‘n’ roll appear as themselves, including Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Knox, Frankie Avalon, and Carl Perkins.
In addition to the musical performers, the film had many cameo appearances by disc jockeys from across the US, Canada, Britain and Germany – thus ensuring free radio plugs for the film upon its release.
Released as Disc Jockey Jamboree in the UK.
