Everything about this place is amazing. Our west wing room was very nice, our room was right next to the water, could see fish from our verandah. We spent 90% of our time in the verandah, also lovely to see the sunset from there. The private beach had very few people in it, and was just a few steps from our toom. The staff are also wonderful, Nadia at the front desk was particularly helpful. The food at the restaurant or through room service was excellent, and the band every night was a lot of fun. The only slightly negative comment I would have is to do with the cocktails: the same drink being really good one day and pretty mediocre the next. There is a grocery store in the gas station about 5 minutes walk from the hotel, has snacks, beer, wine, rume, sunscreen tc. All in all, just an amazing place, we will be back.

Dear Barun C, We are very delighted that you had such a fantastic stay here at the Jamaica Inn. All our rooms have an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea but will agree with you that the rooms on the water are great choices and actually gives one a close up view of the fishes and the most amazing sunset. Thanks for making mention of Nordia and the rest of the team who are always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that you have a wonderful stay. Thanks as well for pointing out the cocktails by the bar. We will be certain to work on improving our service in that area. We wish you all the very best for the rest of the year and look forward to welcoming you again in the not too distant future. Regards, Sherlene Hickling Guest Services

Our whole family, (4 generations) love Jamaica. Our trips there are always very special. Our favourite spot is Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios. It is a magical spot. Today I took my third garden tour. This one focused on herbs & fruit. My previous Garden tour was led by Mr. Henry who has looked after the property 33 years. He has many stories. This tour was led by a much younger gardener named Aldeed Taylor.
He has been at the Inn 7 years. He says Mr. Henry taught him everything he knows. A very fine tour indeed. Not only to crush & smell leaves & beans at the end we get to sample many fruits from the property such as Mango, Papaya, Star Apple, Coconut & Avocado. The Avocados from Jamaica are simply the best! Great to know the future at Jamaica Inn is in good hands.

Another resort I always wanted to go to since it gets such high accolades from travel magazines and reviewers, they are correct!
First off, the reception and checking in was friendly and fast.
Our room was a superior balcony that had a nice view of the glorious sea as well as the resort. The room was appointed nicely. Loved that they had a loveseat, table chairs on the balcony so you can enjoy a quiet nap, breakfast or simply a nice glass of the bubbly. I fell asleep to the soft sounds of the sea.
We did look at other accommodations, the cottages were lovely, looking directly over the beautiful ocean...
Speaking of breakfast- OMG the banana bread was the best I have ever had in my life, all of 56 years!
We loved the ocean, crystal clear, minimal waves, a gorgeous turquoise blue that any top beaches can rival. Soft golden sand to accompany it! Great service too.
There is a nice beach hut where you can order lunch and or a drink. It was nice chatting with other couples who also had the same relaxed vibe that we did.
We played croquet with other couples we met, pure fun!
The dinners were lovely, dining amongst the stars.
Music was nice, a band was playing soft tunes while the stars were shining ever so bright. For COVID, they had weekly music specials that I tuned in to!
The grounds are well kept. Flowers, small pool and palm trees….and yes the beautiful cove , private Caribbean sea!
A group of us went with the chef to the local market. Learned about the different scotch bonnets and other vegetables. He then prepared a meal with the ingredients he bought. We got to sample it. This was a great activity that hopefully we can do again.
Timeless luxury- yes. Understated class- absolutely.
If you love Old Jamaica, look no more... I am very picky when it comes to taking my family on a celebratory holiday. Two of our children just turned thirty so my husband and I chose part of our journey at the lovely Jamaica Inn! (My birthday too and our daughter just got engaged).
We cannot wait to come back to a beautiful part of the Caribbean...lucky us.

We enjoyed our stay at the Jamaica Inn. After a late check-in and tiring journey, sandwiches were still organized and the beer tasted fantastic. The rooms are spacious, tidy and the bed is wonderful. The care on the beach is perfect and we enjoyed dinner with our feet in the sand. A wonderful place to relax and unwind, we will definitely go back.

I booked Cottage 4 last weekend which coincided with the turtle release. Upon check in a very helpful man advised me that the turtle release was delayed and would be taking place after I checked out. Seeing my disappointment he advised me that he would speak to the manager and see if I could check out after the turtle release, which he kindly arranged. I only wish that I got to thank him for the kindness he showed to me. I can not fault anything about this resort, from the rooms, to the staff and the service received. It really is paradise and a place that you never feel like leaving. I think the hotel is even better then I remember it from my previous stay in 2010. There is now free WiFi, a weekly programme of various activities to partake in, a welcome drink and of course the turtle programme which was well organised and fascinating. As for Cottage 4 it is one of best accommodations that I have stayed in, I am still thinking about it now, wishing I was back there. Hopefully it won’t be 11 years until I return again to Jamaica Inn.

If you’re looking to reset, recharge, and rejuvenate…. The Jamaica Inn will be a perfect getaway. The entire staff was warm and welcoming from the beginning of our trip to the very end. The food is AMAZING. Please don’t miss the 4 o’clock tea time or the 7-8 pm cocktail hour. You will thank me later. Our room was a walk-out to the beach. The veranda is a great spot to order a little breakfast to have the well-deserved slow morning. Our room was cleaned twice per day and a sweet treat awaits you when you return from dinner. Book a spa appointment! According to my husband….THE BEST massage he’s ever had. (and he’s had quite a few). Play a game of croquet, or backgammon. Take time to read those books you’ve been wanting to catch up on. Take a paddle board or a kayak out onto the crystal clear ocean. Or just use a float and forget all of your worries.
I can’t say enough about this experience. My husband and I are already looking at dates to come back here later this year. Yes! It’s THAT good.
The Jamaica Inn will take you back in time and make you feel like your most amazing self.

Lovely hotel. Rooms very nice with plenty on offer such as film night and sea turtles hatching as well as a spa. Food was delicious. Only criticism they have very slippery floors when wet so beware. Unfortunately I was not careful and managed to slip down a flight of stairs. More bruised ego than anything but still not nice. Non slip Mats would be useful

My wife and I visited the Jamaica Inn for five nights from June 7-12 to celebrate our anniversary. We prefer smaller boutique resorts and have been multiple times to both Jade Mountain St. Lucia and Hermitage Bay Antigua so our standards a pretty high, and I would put this property in the same category.

The service, food, and private beach are all outstanding. The property has so much history and charm. If you can afford it, I highly recommend staying in one of the cottages as they all have private plunge pools which are very nice to cool off in after a day at the beach prior to dinner. While this was our first time visiting, a lot of other guests had been multiple times which is telling. And most of the staff has been working there for many years. Special shout outs to Todd & Georgia down at the beach as well as Patrice & Stretch at the restaurant. We would love to return again in the future!

My first trip to Jamaica and let me just say that this resort was truly the best location that I have ever been to in the world. We booked Cottage #5 and were overwhelmed by how gorgeous the accommodations were. The Infiniti plunge pool overlooking the gorgeous Jamaican waters was simply breathtaking! The staff was superb and accommodated our every needs. The breakfast views are serene and peaceful. Such tranquility and calm over this entire resort. Jamaica Inn is the 5 star accommodation for the overworked executive who is looking to reset and replace energy. Such an amazing staff and venue. The owner was also super graceful and attentive to our comfort. Lastly, Shadow the resort cuddle pup was such the warm host!

I love Jamaica Inn, I love everything about it, it’s history, it’s laid back character; it’s one classy resort.
The beach is a Caribbean dream, beautiful sand with warm blue seas (of course). The rooms are on the small size but your outdoor sitting area makes up for the lack of bedroom space. Bathrooms also small.
For whatever reason on our visit this time the food wasn’t that great. Pretty hit or miss. Chef Maurice really needs to get his staff up to scratch fast as some dishes were bordering on the inedible. The pizzas for lunch on the beach were good, and gala dinner well worth it with sumptuous beef perfectly cooked - compliments to that chef.
I truly believe what sets this resort apart from all others are the staff. Without exception they are all so friendly, personable, efficient and the kind of guys you want to hug forever. Patrice is my girl, Carter the singing waiter is fabulous and Palmer is an exquisite cocktail shaker. But my new number one guy is Charley, a true asset to the team, a man with a future I sense.
No doubt we will return, it really is home from home.

Oh, as a postscript: an awful lot of ONE love goes to Gerry in reservations who made our holiday in every possible way.

Hi Mark, Our all-inclusive meal plan includes all drinks by the glass. Drinks include excellent house wine, beers, blended/mixed drinks, premium liquors, and a bubbly. Fine wines and champagne will be an additional charge. Also note, with this meal plan, you have the dine around. This is, allows you to dine off the property once or twice depending on the number of nights. Let us know if you have any other questions. Best, Gerry

You should be fine traveling from Kingston to Ocho Rios - just use a reputable transfer service - plenty of choices - ask for advice on the TripAdvisor Jamaica Travel Forum. Jamaica Inn provides this service as well.

Not big drinkers, plus we wanted to travel out to eat from more than just hotel, so in our case all inclusive was not financially sensible
