Jahmil French obituary: “Degrassi” star dies at 29 – Legacy.com
“Degrassi: The Next Generation” was French’s first major acting gig, and he got his start with the franchise in the “Degrassi: Minis” series of special episodes in 2009. He joined the cast of “Degrassi: The Next Generation” later the same year and remained with it through 2013. French later starred in TV series including the Netflix drama “Soundtrack” as well as “Pop” and “Remedy.” In 2017, he starred in the movie “Boost,” for which he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor by the Canadian Screen Awards. French was also a stage actor and a dancer.
