wondering if anyone or anything could save this guy from himself. Do you think he could fix this? He’s hit rock bottom I can’t see him going any lower than this.
Without his state ID he’s basically invisible now.
No state ID No birth certificate No social security card
He’s fallen into the phantom zone of not existing and I’m not seeing any shot at recovery.
How much longer does this guy have left.

I could be wrong on this, but with no ID, I don’t think he will be able to get a hotel room. He’ll be sleeping on the streets or in the

If his spiral down is stopped it’s only because he’s finally committed to a mental institution for a long term stay. The only other alternatives I see is jail/prison or an early death.
I really, really think that he doesn’t mind jail anymore. It’s a place for him to sleep and he gets his much needed and much deserved 3 meals a day. Especially with the last arrest, he seemed chill with it.
I don’t think he’ll ever see a mental institution again UNLESS he’s extremely desperate for a place to sleep and eat. I think he’d opt for jail before the mental facility 😂 I don’t know CO’s laws very well, but I bet they can’t force him to the mental facility for more than 72 hours.
He will take jail any day over the mental institution. He doesn’t want to be faced with the reality that everyone he’s in contact with is a troll. Jail lets him keep his delusions
As i keep saying this he will be facing his demise on the streets of colorado or spent the rest of his life in a mental institution where has no Internet access and being forced to take medicine by nurses which will be a living nightmare for daniel.
Do you think there’s any realistic way that he turns his life around?
Realistically there is none. The majority of his problems that he caused are rooted within the decade before he was found
Tbh i dont really see it because daniel always had chances in life to improve his mental life but he always rejects them like the court telling him to go anger management classes did he visit it... short answer no. So yea daniel will always stay glued to his phone till he dies or being lock away for the rest of his life

As an older guy speaking from experience, sometimes in life when you think things just can't get worse, they can. They can always get way, way worse. Alcohol I would see before drugs. An amputation from foot infection, etc.. It can always get worse. Though don't dwell because it can just as easily be better than you could ever imagine. Not for Danny boy though. He can rot.
there was a post (on r/all?) a few days ago of another homeless guy in colorado who had to get his toes amputated after the freezing temperatures of december-january. He basically lost everything up the the middle of the foot. If daniel suffers the same fate he’s basically screwed
Calling people dumb for stating facts is unnecessary lol.. You need 2 other types of id (birth certificate, utilities bill, lease etc ) to aquire another id and Daniel has 0 of those.. He'll eventually get another id but it's gonna be a minute for him to jump through the red tape loops

Don’t believe for one second he doesn’t have his ID. He said atleast 3 times before that he had to give his id to a restaurant when he tried to dine and dash and he would return to pay the bill and get back his ID. It’s just another one of his lies to make it seem like he’s paying his bills because he will say I got my state id back for paying the food bill when in reality he never paid the bill and just got trespassed from the restaurant
At this point, the only viable cure is, at minimum, a 7.62x39 - and with his plot armor, I’m not even sure it would penetrate.
Non American here, when you lose a state ID can you never get another? That seems like a terrible system
Also Non-American, but no, America isn't this fucking stupid. It isn't impossible to ever attain identification ever again if you lose all of that, smh. I don't know what fantasy world some posters here live in, or if they are just hoping desperately so bad for something bad to happen to Daniel that they imagine a fantasy version of the US where everything is in ultra-extremes.
I'm not saying the guy is going to turn his life around - I peg the chances of that at almost 0, and I'm not saying he isn't going to die pretty young, I think the chances of that are pretty good. But no lol he isn't a goner now forever and invisible because of this. He's definitely not expired yet.

Yeah, honestly a lot of posts here remind me of how Daniel thinks or views the world sometimes. I even waited this long to look at the reply notification lol, because I figured it would be in disagreement with me.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think I am always right — just… lol, I can comfortably say for a fact that losing your ID and papers as a 20s american male won’t make it impossible to ever have an ID again.
It requires 2 forms of identification. So without 2 forms of ID ur pretty must invisible because you can’t prove you are who you say you are.
Daniel just figured out the prison loophole.
It’s the classic bureaucratic nightmare. To obtain a copy of his birth certificate he would have to travel to California where he was born. You can’t order it online, you have to go in person! Even if he lived in California outside of LA County (his birthplace) it would be a big hassle given his lack of transportation.

There are ways to recover your identity if you have zero forms of id but it’s complicated. And rightly so to prevent identity theft. There are groups (like women’s shelters and homeless shelters) that can help you recover documentation. Takes hard work and follow thru which Danny is not able to do. If he was appointed a guardian they might be able to do it.
His jail time might actually help. He had id at some point of being arrested and most likely fingerprinted. Those records could be used to get other forms.
That’s good to know really, I’ve seen a few documentaries about people living in the vegas sewers and when their ID gets stolen they seem to be unable to return to society. Hopefully they’re helped to get their identities back through these methods
You go to the BMV and with documentation that almost anyone else has you get another one for like 20 bucks

I said SOME,but as they say,”if the shoe fits,wear it”. He’s in the system,he can get a new ID. No one is talking about birth certificate or SScard. He isn’t trying to get a passport or get on a plane.He can go to where he got the last one and fill out an application. I can assure you his PO can help him. Wear that shoe honey!
