I love Ciara, and I would do a full review, but I'm kind of lazy.
I can just say it's an amazing, feel good, uplifting album. It's a very danceable, groovy album. There are ballads, there are uptempos, there are mid-tempos, there's something for everyone. Even in the most vulnerable sounds that's a bright side to it, it's normally talking about situations she's been through but uplifting you as a person, that if you've been through this, you can make it through and giving you a real open and uplifting perspective on how to make it out just fine.

"If you been through what I been through / Man, you be poppin' this sh*t, too", declares Ciara on opening number "Jackie (B.M.F.)"; "Imma bad mothaf*cker."That is exactly what Ciara should be in her craft. As testified by her top-selling past, it is frustrating that her career cannot get off the ground in the last few years, when she has so much potential, her albums always have great tracks, and she is experimenting with new sounds. "Jackie" is her most consistent and enjoyable set since 2007's "Evolution". In fact, "Jackie" feels like "Evolution Pt. II", being just as ambitious and varied. Her urban fans would rather keep her in a box, but Ciara has grown in leaps and bounds since those records, and with "Jackie" it is like she is rebranding herself. She is naturally sticking to her R'n'B roots, but goes significantly poppier, enhancing her trademark sound of cool vibes and sleek grooves. The '90s-inspired cover photo is an homage to Janet Jackson's - an artistic mother to Ciara - iconic "janet." album. First single "I bet", hyper-active "That's how I'm feelin'", heartfelt "I got you", sensual "Dance like we're making love" (an instant favourite), infectious throwback "Give me love", blissful "Kiss & tell", glorious "Only one", and blazing "One woman army", are all highlights on this invigorating set, one which is special to its creator. "I am truly fulfilled by this experience of making my new music", Ciara said about "Jackie". "I was able to create everything I have aspired and hoped for as an artist. It is my favorite album I have made thus far in my career, and so excited begin my new journey. It is a new me. A new attitude." May she slay again, then.
