The prices are fair considering the cost of food these days plus the amount you get. Almost 2 lbs of food for $20...for the Karen's complaining about the prices, well they are on the wall, learn to read, don't like it, turn around and leave....As for the quality, my brisket was fantastic, wife's pork was great, the okra and wedges were great. Great all the way around...Keep it up...More

This was our first time to JL's BBQ. We were driving home from Tulsa and decided to stop. The ribs were amazing! The beef was dry. The sides were huge- too much for one person to eat. The okra was cooked exactly the way I...like it and it was good. Liked that they had tv's everywhere. Overall, we had a very good lunch. Note: They have Pepsi products.More

I have been eating JLs since 1976. I was very disappointed on my most recent visit. My order was $121 to go. I asked for 10 plates & silverware and she told me it would cost an additional $8. WHAT?? If I stayed in the...restaurant with the same order it would have come with plates! The beef was dry but most disappointing were the beans. They are not the same old recipe. They looked like pork n beans with a little sauce and meat to flavor. Not the same scrumptious recipe I crave. I think this was my last trip from Tulsa to Pryor to have JLs.More

Worst meal we've had in a long time. My pulled pork was acceptable but both the mild and hot bbq sauce were hideous. Weird taste. The texas toast also had a weird taste like maybe made with rancid butter. Hubby's polish sausage sandwich could not...be bitten off at all. Even with a butter knife he really had a hard time cutting it into pieces. The baked beans weren't very good and tasted like not much more than out of a can but looked much better that it tasted. They also charged us for tap water and added an illegal 3.75% fee onto my debit card. The bill for this awful lunch was $25 and so my husband basically got a $12 order of french fries and I got a half cup $12 order of pork. Run fast past this place.More

Years ago my husband raved about this place. We had business in Pryor and decided to get some food to go. We both ordered the same 2 meat combos. Instead of giving us our individual dinners they put all of one meat in one container...and all other other meat in the other container. Good thing we were eating together! The meat was shaved like Arby's, the coleslaw was like KFC's and the barbeque sauce had an odd taste we couldn't identify. Unfortunately the beans had the barbeque sauce which ruined them. We got no onions or pickles with our order. We paid a premium price for this and we won't be back.More

Food was average at best… I had the single meat lunch plate with ribs. Taste was “meh”… my glass of tea was $3.00!!! Total bill was over $18.00. Way excessive for quality of food. Plus you are charged more if you use a card. I...doubt I ever return, which is a shame since I am new here and work right down the road.More

On a recent trip to St Louis, my wife and I decided to hit the road less traveled, detoured off I44E, out of Tulsa, OK, and took 412E to 69N, eventually running into JL's. Not one to pass up on Q', we made a pit...stop. We both ordered the rib dinner, baked beans, fries, and corn on the cob. There was absolutely nuthin', and I mean nuthin', Q' worthy in our selections. The only thing of semi-redeeming value was that they served us a healthy portion. The ribs were overcooked, somewhat mushy, with little to no smoke flavor, no smoke ring, and a lack of flavor. I thought that the ribs could be saved with their homemade Q' sauce, but it was cloyingly sweet and it refused to go down easy. The beans, too, were tooooooo sweet. The corn was overcooked and the remainder of its flavor was sucked dry by swimming in a bath of tepid salt water. Even the ice tea was tooooooooooooooooooo sweet. It is set up cafeteria style and the dining areas are furnished with large picnic-like tables, and lends itself to making friends/acquaintances with strangers. There is ample parking and plenty of room for trucks and RVs. The best thing about the restaurant is that the staff was friendly. The folks in the local area might consider JL's the best Q' in Pryor; however, I cannot, with good Q' conscious, recommend JL's as a stop for connoisseurs of smoked and Q'd meats.More

We came here for a lunch meeting and was asked if we wanted to split a 3 meat tray. As two big guys of course we said no! But we had a ton left over. Quite possibly the biggest serving I have ever had. Food...was fabulous ..ribs were amazing. I would think any negative review here is from a competitorMore

JL’s is convenient and you’ll be served quickly. I had the combo platter or something like that. I was not really thrilled with the barbecue but I will say I ate it all. It’s a big platter overall. But not really a special place and...I don’t expect I’ll be going back.More

JL's is a place you go when you are hungry and frankly, don't care about carbs. Be sure to consider the lunch plate before the dinner portion. When you ask for some fries or fried okra, you get a massive pile, along with your meat....They have a good variety to choose from, but don't ask "where's the salad bar?".....there isn't one. The "healthiest" thing they have, or for those who are vegetarians (why would you go there if you're one of those), is fried mushrooms. If you leave hungry, blame yourself.More

Absolutely flavorless food!! Walked in and it was like I was eating from a pig trough and the food was disgusting looking and sitting in what looked like dirty runny dish water. They slop flavorless food on a crappy flimsy styrofoam plates on a astic...tray that looks like something you got in the lunch line at school. The workers there looked like half of them were strung out on drugs. Overall experience was just horribleMore

Always good food, and a ton of food for the price. It's a little expensive, but I always get two to three meals out of mine. Love the sauce. It's my favorite.

Get the combo plate. Little bit of everything. Feeds at least 2 hungry men. Country atmosphere. Large dining areas. Cafeteria style serving. onion and pickles bar. Help yourself pop refills.

Not a friendly staff member there... Food was not appetizing on taste, smell or preparation. Not good BBQ. This might be a truck drivers paradise but its not good for BBQ fans or folks who like a bit of effort put into their meals.

It has a sampling of all of the meats plus your choice of two sides. It's enough to share to take home for the next day.
