J.T. Barrett lands rookie minicamp tryout with Dallas Cowboys

J.T. Barrett is one of the more decorated quarterbacks in Ohio State history with a national championship, a Big Ten MVP and three Big Ten Quarterback of the Year awards. Despite the former Buckeye having an extremely impressive collegiate resume, he has not found his footing in the NFL.

Barrett will get another opportunity to show he has the ability to stick when he joins the Dallas Cowboys for their rookie mini-camp this weekend. Barrett has been in and out of the NFL since debuting with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers before joining the Alphas in the Spring League.

After he displayed some impressive moments during the Spring League season, Dallas will give Barrett a shot in what looks like a crowded quarterback room with Dak Prescott, Cooper Rush, Garrett Gilbert and Ben DiNucci.

We’ll of course be on top of this as any video footage or information becomes available.
