The memorial service for Edgar Julius Spiess, Jr. will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. A reception and Visitation with the family will immediately follow the service. Mr. Spiess, 81 of Prairieville, Louisiana passed away on April 14, 2024 at his home. He was born in New Orleans, LA on June 1, 1942 to Edgar J. Spiess, Sr. and Nola Belle Dufrene. Mr. Spiess graduated from Nichols State University in 1965 and spent many years in the teaching and coaching profession in St. Charles and surrounding parishes. He later entered and retired from the insurance industry. He is preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Martha Jones Spiess, children: Aaron D. Spiess of Raleigh, NC, Susan D. Spiess of Metairie, La.; brother, Russell Spiess (Connie) of Sacramento, CA, sister, Mary Bergeron (Joe) of Luling, La. Nephew, Joey Bergeron (Alana) and niece Renee Dempster (Quinn).
