What travelers are saying
- Shawn HWashington DC, DC413 contributionsWe came to this park during the winter when some of the better trails were closed. We originally entered teh east gate of the park only to leave and drive in the west, upper park entrance, which had a better trail access to see luciver falls. After that detour and a drive past hte closed ticket booths (the park is free in the winter) - we parked the car adn headed past hte old mill and up the trail. After a relatively short hike, we got to some spectacular overlooks of the Lucifer Falls. The park was pretty quiet and it'd be great to come back curing the season when the gorge trail is open.Written December 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mary LaFountainBrunswick, OH14 contributionsWalking the Cornell campus is a great experience! Don’t miss the suspension bridge… and the trail down to the bottom of the gorge!Written February 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shawn HWashington DC, DC413 contributionsUnlike the other state parks, this one doesn't require any hiking to get to the big waterfall. You drive in and can't miss it. The parking lot is right near the base of the falls and they are unique and worth a stop. As we were there in November, the park was quiet and contemplative.Written December 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael K1,002 contributionsThis is a huge garden. Make sure to pick up a map at the Visitor Center. How much you can explore depends on your energy and how much time you have. We spent about an hour just wandering in the herb garden and surrounding area. What we saw were very interesting although in October not many flowers are in bloom.Written October 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael K1,002 contributionsThere are two ways to view Ithaca Falls. One way is on the lookout on Lake St. bridge. This is the easiest but the view is partially obstructed by trees. The other way is to hike down to the Ithaca Falls Natural Area. This affords the best view and you can get as close as you want to the water.Written October 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Prerna C4 contributionsVery scenic! There's an amazing cider house near by - the Finger Lakes Cider House. Don't forget to check that out. Also, if you're visiting in the Fall, bring a jacket!Written October 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael K1,002 contributionsThis is a wonderful trail. We started at Treman Triangle and headed upstream on Cascadilla Gorge passing by numerous waterfalls and cascades. The place is very scenic and the natural environment made you feel like you are in a state park in the country rather than in a bustling university campus. This is a must see attraction.Written October 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- dbinhou7511Houston, TX1,657 contributionsWalking through the woods was wonderful. So peaceful and at least a few birds at this time of year to keep your interest. Definitely recommend visiting for any bird enthusiast.Written December 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kay7979Western NY405 contributionsThe Farm Market is a great place to taste local wines, cider, cheeses and more. Pick up some fresh veggies while you're there. Have a light meal. We were glad the market was still open in October. It's a lively place to visit with lots of unique vendor and interesting foods to try. Even on a chilly, rainy day it was pleasant since the market is in a covered area.Written October 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jennifer RProvidence, RI49 contributionsWe were around visiting friends for NYE and came here to entertain the kiddos (6m and 5) We ended up coming back two days in a row. Great variety of science based interactive activities. The outdoor playground looks great but was closed due to the weather this time of year. I really enjoyed the small animals they had (lots of fish/lizards/snakes). Would Definitely recommend a visit if you have kids.Written December 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael K1,002 contributionsAccording to the map, the fall is 156-ft tall, a respectable height inside a city. The easy way to view it is at the lookout point on the Lake St. bridge although the view is somewhat obstructed by trees. A better way is to hike down to the Ithaca Falls Natural Area where you can get as close as you want to the waterfall. At the time we visited, free parking is available at the lot at the intersection of Lake and Falls St.Written October 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RNS1983Binghamton, NY133 contributionsA husband and wife winery that is also a museum with either a guided or self guided tour. It’s obvious that they know what they’re doing and talking about. My wife and I enjoyed this place very much. Their wine was tasty and they went into detail on how it was made and where the grapes came from. We recommend.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
