Love Island star Indiyah Polack has signed a six-figure deal with online retail giant PrettyLittleThing.

The 23-year-old is set to become the brand's first ever ambassador for their brand new resale app, Marketplace.

Indiyah, who finished third with boyfriend Dami Hope, 26, in the ITV2 reality TV show, had been in talks with the 'for weeks' before the deal was officially announced.

The Love Island star, who's signed a one-year partnership with the brand, is set to star in a TV advert to launch the resale platform next week.

She wrote on Instagram: "*internally screaming* I can finally tell you what we’ve been working on for so long!!

"I am the FIRST EVER ambassador for @prettylittlething Marketplace!! This is a dream come true and I can’t wait to bring you all on the journey with me!

Fans had been enraged that the retailer had signed up Owen, daughter of former England football star, Michael Owen, and snubbed Indiyah despite her routinely topping polls they had put out asking who viewers wanted to see as the next face of the brand.

PLT shoppers slammed the fast fashion brand for using Indiyah Polack ‘for engagement’ before signing Gemma Owen as their new brand ambassador.

Fans also backed the star, who is on a role having also recently landed an ambassador role at Boots, to land a deal, also tweeting in their hundreds to support her since leaving the villa.

Just a short few days later, PLT CEO Umar Kamani responded to the uproar in a now-deleted tweet.

He wrote: “PLT fans we listen to you, you will see.”

He later told Mail Online that it was always his company's intention to sign Indiyah, but it took time to arrange the lucrative collaboration.

He added: "We are delighted to confirm that Indiyah will be our first ever PLT Marketplace Ambassador.

"Indiyah will be launching our new resale app as an exclusive seller.

Gemma has since congratulated her fellow signee, writing in Indiyah's comment section referencing the announcement with: "YES YES YES Congratulations."
