  What in the world is Walter Matthau doing here??? He’s making some very, very weird character choices as a movie producing gangster. I think at one point they call him the country’s number one pervert, and then he appears with his Walter Matthau face and acts like he’s in the Little Rascals or something. 

  Sadly, I only have one more Tony Randall movie left on my dvr. Luckily, it’s Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter, and I’m quite excited to finally get to it.

  Not a very good movie at all. To keep it brief, not nearly enough Tony Randall, Walter Matthau is hilarious, Robert Preston is good, and the script is all over the place and a little bit creepy. The central romance is very weird. Some characters don't behave like real people, and the A plot becomes completely sidelined by the B plot and then it's all muddled because we don't know what we're really supposed to care about. So no good although the last ten minutes are fun.

  i only watched parts of this put please go watch it. it is soooo gay. like if you take the gayest parts of tony randall from the odd couple and the gayest parts of robert preston from victor/victoria and put them together and you get this movie. oh and walter Matthau has a lisp. tony randall wears his sluttiest outfit imaginable. robert preston has to protect him from over-eager women. they run away to greece together. anyways there's some plot about gangsters or something but this movie is about tony randall's character's love for robert preston. you can't change my mind.

  Robert Preston’s second film with Morton Da Costa about a con man only this time it’s not a musical and Walter Matthau has the lisp. At least it’s neat to see what Greece looked like in the 1960s.

  Had an "a ha!" moment while watching this film as I'd only ever seen Michael Constantine in MBFGW. What a treat to see him so young here.

  Woman: “I sure like Greek architecture” (stares at crotch of statue)

  Now what could be funnier, than gay, carefree Robert Preston (dang, he has some style, lots of good fits) and Tony Randall swindling mobster Water Matthau (with a hilarious lisp, no less) into making Greece into a touristy island for sexual extravaganzas; NO where near as simplistic as Paris ‘the city of love’.
