Event Mechanics and Bonuses |
|
The Entei Research event will be held for two weeks similar to the Raikou Research event. It will take place from May 20, 4:00 AM local time to June 3, 3:59 AM local time.
Like many events, this takes place only on Greengrass Isle with the Leppa Berry as a fixed favorite Berry for the duration of the event, further strengthening Fire-type Pokemon helpers.
After Raikou was added during the Raikou Research event back in March, now the second Pokemon of the trio is making its way to Pokemon Sleep during the Entei Research event!
Entei can be encountered starting at 3 PM local time on May 20, the first day of the event.
Entei Sleep Type, Helping Stats, and All Sleep Styles
To prepare for the Entei Research Event, the Fire Type Week event will be held from May 6 to 13! This event allows us to befriend lots of Fire-type Pokemon and gather a lot of Candy, which can help us make a strong Fire-type helper team for the Entei Research event.

The Entei Research event is only available to players who choose Greengrass Isle as their research area for the week.
Normally the favorite Berries of the Greengrass Isle Snorlax is random, but during this event week, the Snorlax on this island is guaranteed to have the Leppa Berry as one of its favorite Berries.

If you accidentally select a different research area during the Raikou Research Event, you can change your research area by using an E-Zzz Travel Ticket.
You can buy one per month at the Regular Exchange for a mere 100 Sleep Points. If you need another, you can buy it from the General Store.

Raikou Mane Collection Methods |

|
This information is from the Raikou Research event.
If this event is similar to the Raikou Research Event, you will need to collect Entei Mane through sleep research, event missions, or Research Community reports during the event. Entei Mane can then be used in the Event Exchange to get items such as Entei Incense and Entei Biscuits.
Collecting Entei Mane and exchanging them for Entei Incense may be the easiest way to encounter Entei. However, the developers are planning on adding more features and rewards that will make befriending Entei much easier.
Week 1 | Week 2 | |
---|---|---|
Extra Ingredients | 1 | 1 |
Main Skill Chance | 1.5 | 1.5 |
Main Skill Level | +1 | +3 |
During the Entei Research Event, Fire-type Pokemon will be more helpful. If they work similarly to the Electric-type Pokemon during the Raikou Research event, the Fire types will be able to pick up one extra ingredient and have an increased main skill chance at 1.5x the normal rate.
The Main Skill level for Fire-type Pokemon will also be increased. For the first week, Main Skill levels will be increased by 1. During the second week, skills will increase by 3 levels. Levels for Main Skills are currently capped at level 7 for the Charge Strength and Dream Shard Magnet skills, while other Main Skills are capped at level 6.
Drowsy Power will be multiplied by 1.5x on June 2, the second Sunday of the event, and the last day of the Pokemon Sleep week. This, along with the other event bonuses, may allow you to easily break your highest Drowsy Power record, and make it easier to encounter rare Sleep Styles.
Try using an Entei Incense for your sleep session on this day for a chance to see its higher star Sleep Styles.
At the beginning of week two of the Raikou Research Event, Snorlax was automatically promoted to Ultra 4 after selecting Greengrass Isle as the research area, which was the event location for Raikou.
We can expect this to happen again during the Entei Research Event.

This table is based on the Raikou Research event. Entei Research Event Exchange items and prices will be updated once the event is live.
A special event store called the Event Exchange will be open during the Entei Research Event. This is where you can exchange your Entei Mane for items.
The final item amounts and prices for the Entei Research Event Exchange have not yet been announced, but this is what the Event Exchange may contain if it follows the Raikou Research Event Exchange.
Additional Entei Incense and Entei Biscuits will be added to the Event Exchange during the second week of the event, at lower prices.
Entei Incense cannot be purchased if you already have one in your bag. You can only have a maximum of one Entei Incense in your inventory at a time. Placing the Incense on a stump still counts as having it in your inventory until it is consumed after a completed sleep session.
Entei Biscuits will only be usable during the Entei Research Event. Once the event is over, any Entei Biscuits you have in your inventory will turn into Great Biscuits.

Week 1 missions will be available for the entire duration of the event, from May 20, 4:00 AM to June 3, 3:59 AM.

Week 2 missions will be available from May 27, 4:00 AM to June 3, 3:59 AM.
All Weekly Missions and Rewards
As with every Pokemon Sleep event, bundles will be available alongside the Entei Research Event. An announcement regarding the bundle contents and prices is expcted to be made available closer to the start of the event.
The Entei Research Bundles Vol. 1 are expected to arrive at the General Store a day before the event begins.
Fire-type Pokemon will be more effective during the Entei Research Event. They will all also have an increased encounter rate during this event.
Charizard and Typhlosion in particular are some of the best Fire-type Pokemon you can use in the game. Flareon is also an excellent Pokemon to use if you find yourself lacking in cooking pot space because of its Main Skill. Once you befriend Entei, it can also be a valuable member of your team.
Catch and level up these Pokemon before and during the event in order to help you raise Snorlax quickly! Take note that you can only have up to one Entei on your team at a time, though you can have multiple in your Box.
