I have been coming to Tropicana for years! I remember when Boogie Nights was the Penny Slots Pavilion. When it first opened, it was awesome! They had impersonators that were sooo great and the music was good. The past 3 or 4 years have been wack! For an 80's 90's club, finding music to dance too should be easy. Heck, you could just play 1 hit wonders and keep people on the dance floor but not anymore. He will play just enough to get you excited and then play a song that no one has heard before except maybe him. No one wants to hear the #14 song that got 0 airplay in 83! Also, 80s/90s means ALL music! He definitely does not play any hip hop or R&B from those decades. It's definitely not worth the cover charge. I am more entertained by the drunk people on the boardwalk and get better music! It's unfortunate because having a club inside of your hotel is great! I won't go to the other ones because today's music sucks so all my friends and I have is Boogie Nights. Not anymore, I will not waste my time with BN's ever again.

I've been to BN several times but the last 2 times, there were different MC's that walked among the crowd with a microphone talking over the music. It's hard to have a good time and dance when there's a guy continuously talking over the very music you went to BN to hear. I feel like it was more about the MC's costume and antics and "dance" contest than about hearing good music to dance to. If you are coming to BN to dance, you may want to look for other options. If you are coming to BN to hear some guy walk among the crowd and talk, then this is your spot.

I have to agree with Truth S regarding the music. Certainly on june 30th, You'd get the odd recognisable classic floor filler, followed by song after song that noone had heard of. There are plenty of classic tunes to play, the dj just didn't seem to know any of them.
Still enjoyed the evening mind, but it could have been so much better.

What a wonderful discotech/club! Brought back memories of the good old days from the 80's & 90's! Had a great tine partying to all of the old school music tunes. The place gets packed & everyone is there ready & willing to party hard! Nice club to go to when one is visiting Atlantic City, Tropicana Casino. That place really jumps! It's free b4 a certain time, but then you have to pay to get into the discotech after the free hours admission

Nice hang out place to party.

My group of ladies had a fabulous time for a 50th birthday party. Lots of great music but a small dance floor. And quite a few skeevy guys we had to fend off. It was a little expensive but we had a fabulous time!

5 dollar cover charge on friday nights. great DJ spinning great music, light show is great. lots of period actors on roller skates, hull-a hoops, dancers on stage.
we rented a sofa area away from the dance floor for 200$$, we drank 200 dollars worth of drinks and tipped the girl 40$ there were 8 of us. It was nice away from the dance floor we could at least hear each other without our hearing aids........
Bottle service available too, nice mix of 50-55 and younger that don't wish to go to the big AC clubs with the young crowd that are wasted on....

Me and my friends are all in our mid 20's and I will say we have the most fun here every time we go to AC. It is a fun nightclub without the worries of fights or not having a good time. Drinks are pricey. The cover is an easy thing to avoid on a Friday night since they always have some fun promotion to get in free. Just check the website.

Went on a Saturday night. $10 cover before 10pm then it goes to $15. Bottle service / booth area is minimum of 8 people to be in the front and $500 tab. Dance floor is small. Can't drink on the dance floor and unless you have a booth/ vip area there are very few tables to put your beverage down so you can dance (if there is any room on the dance floor). Music was good and videos in the background are cool. Beers are $7 for a domestic metal bottle shaped can. You have to leave the club to use the restroom or smoke, which is in the casino. But once your hand is stamped you can skip the line and go back in easily. Mostly what was we saw was girls in tight skimpy dresses and heels and muscle bound boy In tight shirts. Very MTV Jersey Shore.

If you love 70s and 80s music, and just want to boogie, this is the place! My husband and I had a great time! The dance floor was packed (in a good way, fun) and the crowd was mixed, though more people seemed to be in their 30s and 40s. Everyone was just there to dance and have fun. I def wanna go back!

On a recent visit to Comedy Stop at the Trop" we decided to stop into "Boogie Nights" on the recommendation of one of the comedians. It was about 10pm so the night was young. It was pretty crowded but we found a spot at the bar to get a cocktail. Not far from the bar is an elevated, square dance floor. The music was all genres, 60's, 70's, 80's. As soon as a jamming song started we were on the floor. It was great!!! I think @ 50 ish we were the oldest people there, but so what! The only draw back is there aren't any bar stools or tables to be had. But we were mostly dancing, so we dealt with it. Around 12ish the crowd changed into a younger group and the music got rappy so we were out. I would def go back and maybe get there earlier like 9ish! Oh and don't bring a coat or sweater cause there's nowhere to store them!
