Wind Advisory has ended, but still breezy for WNY

Gusts will still be 30+ mph in some parts of Western New York through the weekend.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — In the past 24 hours or so, we have seen peak wind gusts reaching 53 mph in Fredonia, Irving 52 mph, Niagara Falls Airport 52 mph, and Buffalo Airport 48 mph (National Weather Service).

A strong area of low pressure lifting into Canada, which has been providing the rain we have seen so far, is now producing these strong winds through Saturday and Sunday.  For Sunday, expect wind gusts in the upper 20 and low 30 mph range.
