Celebs Who Have Multiple Sets Of Multiples

There are many celebrities who have twin children. Jennifer Lopez and ex-husband Marc Anthony happen to be the proud parents of twins Emme and Max Muñiz. Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth welcomed a set of twins into the world in 2014. Amal and George Clooney are mom and dad to a pair of twins. And of course, Madonna adopted twins Estere and Stella Ciccone in 2017.

In 2017, Vanity Fair revealed Pharrell Williams' wife, Helen Lasichanh, gave birth to triplets. The "Come Get It Bae" hitmaker and Lasichanh also have a son named Rocket Ayer Williams who was eight years old when his three younger siblings were born. Dr. Drew and Susan Pinsky also happen to have triplets, and the former "Loveline" host has been straightforward about the experience. As he wrote on his website, "During the first two years of their lives, my hair turned gray."

With that all being said, there are a fair few celebs who have had multiples of multiples. And we're not only talking about two sets of twins either. Who are they? Keep reading to find out.

Coby Bell thinks having two sets of twins is easier

Coby Bell is the first celeb on our list with two sets of twins. As Glamour Path notes, "The Game" actor has been married to his wife, Aviss Bell, since 2001. The couple welcomed twins Serrae and Jaena Bell on June 21, 2003. Five years later, Aviss gave birth to Eli and Quinn Bell on December 2, 2008.

In an interview with Black and Married with Kids, Coby admitted balancing a busy workload and four children is a "challenge," adding "but it's the best thing in the world. The traveling, the long hours, and everything I do are for my kids." However, he makes sure he gets to see his family on a regular basis. "When I got these jobs out of town, I said the only way I can do this is if I go home every weekend. There's no way I can go more than five days without seeing them or being with them," Coby continued.

Coby said in an interview with The Father Life that while he was surprised to have twins the first time, it didn't throw him off as much the second time his wife got pregnant. You would think it would potentially make parenting harder for the duo, but Coby told outlet that having twins is a lot easier.

Elon Musk describes babies as 'supercool'

Elon Musk is a father to six children. In 2002, he and then-wife Justine Musk welcomed Nevada Alexander Musk. He died 10 weeks later from SIDS. Justine would later on give birth to twin sons, Griffin and Xavier Musk, in 2004 through IVF. Two years later, the pair had not one, not two, but three more sons — Kai, Saxon, and Damian Musk — who were also born via IVF. Since his split with Justine, Elon had a child with singer Grimes in 2020. The two gave their son a one-of-a-kind name: X Æ A-12 Musk

Elon doesn't talk too much about his children. However, in a 2010 essay with Business Insider, he explained the custody of his five children with Justine is "split evenly," adding, "Almost all of my non-work waking hours are spent with my boys, and they are the love of my life." In July 2020, Elon described babies as "supercool" when talking to The New York Times, going on to tell the outlet that "people need to have more babies because, it sounds obvious, but if people don't have enough babies, humanity will disappear." In this case, maybe the business mogul is hoping for more multiples in the future.

Joan Lunden is a mother of seven

Joan Lunden has one big happy family. The television host was already a mom-of-three prior to leaving "Good Morning America" in 1997. As the Los Angeles Times reported at the time, she exited the series to "spend mornings with her three daughters" Jamie, Lindsay, and Sarah Krauss. Her ex-husband, Michael A. Krauss, who she married in 1978 and later divorced in 1992, is the father to her eldest daughters.

Lunden tied the knot once again with businessman Jeff Konigsberg in the year 2000. According to People, the couple welcomed twins Kate and Max Konigsberg in 2003 via surrogate, and chose to expand their family again a couple of years later. In 2005, Lunden's family added another set of twins, Kimberly Elise and Jack Andrew Konigsberg. As People noted, both pairs of twins were carried by the same surrogate.

In an interview with People in 2005, Lunden opened up about having two sets of twins, explaining "I feel like I'm living on Noah's Ark – they're coming two by two." "We weren't actually trying for twins again," she said, adding "but of course that's always in the cards when you implant more than one embryo."

Roger Federer used to get his twin children mixed up

Swiss sportsman Roger Federer first met his fellow tennis player wife, Mirka Federer, at the 2000 Summer Olympics. The couple married nine years later in 2009 and have started a family of their own. The pair welcomed twin daughters, Myla and Charlene Federer, in 2009, and twin sons, Lenny and Leo Federer, in 2014. After Mirka gave birth to a second set of multiples, Roger shared the news on Twitter and called the newest additions a "miracle."

Aside from having more mouths to feed and nappies to change, Roger admitted he used to get his children mixed up, as they looked identical. "I used to sometimes if I couldn't see their face right away," he told Vogue in 2019 when taking part in their 73 Questions series, adding, "But no, nowadays I'm a pro. Of course, I can tell them apart."

"I feel very fortunate I can travel with them around the world and I discovered the cities now from a different angle," Roger once said, according to Tennis World. "They are so cute, well-educated, they like traveling, they get excited when they go on a plane or when they come to zoo or even tennis with me."

Jimmy Bunning had a whole team of kids

Professional baseball pitcher-turned-politician Jim Bunning, who died at the age of 85 in 2017, had 10 children with his wife, Mary Catherine Theis. The couple were childhood sweethearts and got married in January of 1952. The following year, Theis gave birth to their first daughter, Barbara Bunning-Stevens. After that, they welcomed another daughter, Laura Bunning, who sadly died from spinal meningitis shortly after she was born, according to Frank Dolson's biography about the late baseball player.

Bunning and Theis had their first set of twins, son Jim Bunning Jr. and daughter Joan Blinn, in 1955. A little over a decade later, they had twins David Bunning and Amy Towles. Their brood also includes daughters Bridget Bunning and Cathy Sparks and sons Bill Bunning and Mark Bunning.

In Dolson's book, Thies said Jim's schedule as a baseball player made it so he wasn't always the most hands-on dad. "All year [while Jim was doing his job] I was the disciplinarian I was the boss," she shared. "I got tired of it. So when he came home, I said 'It's your turn.' That was difficult for us, and difficult for the kids."

The numbers in Kate Gosselin's family grew quite rapidly

Kate Gosselin is a mother to eight children but only gave birth twice. Crazy, right? She first met her ex-husband Jon Gosselin in 1997 at a picnic, found herself walking down the aisle with him in 1999, and soon started a large family.

The Jon & Kate Plus 8 stars turned to fertility treatments for help after they found out Kate had polycystic ovarian syndrome. In 2000, they welcomed twin daughters, Cara Nicole and Madelyn Kate Gosselin. Four years later, they decided to expand their family. However, they probably didn't expect the numbers to increase this rapidly. In May 2004, they had sextuplets: Alexis, Hannah, Leah, Aaden, Collin, and Joel Gosselin.

On her sextuplets' 13th birthday in 2017, Kate honored their big day with a heartfelt Instagram post, writing, "At this moment (7:51-7:53 am) 13 years ago, my life and heart were completed with your births!" adding, "I love you all and NO MATTER WHAT it requires of me, I will ALWAYS be there for you."

"I'll always be your biggest cheerleader, your role model by example, your shoulder to cry on, the hug and laugh you need, and your mommy and friend!" she continued. "I love you guys! I got six times what I planned on, but I'd NEVER EVER go back! You're the six final pieces of my heart that I never knew I was looking for."

Michelle Duggar has been pregnant over 20 times

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar have the largest family on this list. As the title of their reality TV program suggests, they have 19 children. Michelle has been up the duff a whopping 21 times and has given birth to two sets of multiples: Jana and John David Duggar were born in January 1990, and eight years later, the second set of twins, Jedidiah and Jeremiah Duggar, were welcomed into the world. The life of all their children has been well-documented on the reality show "19 Kids and Counting."

As they noted on the Duggar Family website, Michelle and Jim Bob have always been open to having as many children as possible, so they were probably relieved when they had multiples of multiples. "Through the sorrow of a heart-breaking miscarriage with our second child, we began to read in the Bible that children are a blessing and a gift from God (Psalm 127:1–5)," they said, adding "It was then that we prayed and asked Him to give us as many children as He saw fit. Fast-forward a few decades, and here we are!"

"We have been blessed with 19 children (10 boys and 9 girls), our nephew Tyler, sons- and daughters-in-law, and new grandchildren arriving every year!" they continued.

Nick Cannon is expecting another set of twins

It's good news for "Masked Singer" host Nick Cannon as he is expecting his second set of twins with partner Abby De La Rosa. In an Instagram post shared on April 11, 2021, De La Rosa showed off her growing bump and posed alongside Nick. For her caption, she referred to her twins as "miracle babies," adding, "Thank you for choosing me to be your Mommy. I know the Lord has destined me and prepared me for the gift of not one but two little angels."

"I pray that God give you both the strength to walk brave and boldly in your individual truth just like your Daddy," she continued. "That God bless you and your brother and guide you into living out your full purpose. Your Dad & I will always be here for you both; in complete unison and support."

Cannon is already a father of four from previous relationships. He had his first set of twins, Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, with ex-wife Mariah Carey, and daughter Powerful Queen Cannon and son Golden Cannon with ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell.
