Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to dive. Challenging on occasion but very good value. Great dive shop and cafe. The dive shop offers a full range of equipment and repairs. Air fills are available on site but not nitrox. The cafe is great value for money and the staff are very polite and helpful.
Sadly a number of people seem to forget that it is a privately owned property and get upset when asked politely to refrain from paddling or flying drones (both of which are clearly not allowed if you read the huge signs at the gates and around the site). The quarry is cold, deep and dangerous without specialist training.
Treated with respect this is a brilliant place for a day out.

I like coming to the cafe here sitting in the sun with something to eat and watching the swimmers. Had a most delightful cheeseburger with fried onions and superb homemade chips. My daughter had a very nice full English breakfast.

I love to come here for breakfast when we are out and about up this way. It is nice to sit out and watch other people being energetic, whilst I chomp away at a delicious steak burger for breakfast. Lady that runs the cafe was lovely and the cakes are simply awesome. All this in a very pleasant place....so relaxing.

Went with my daughter for a walk and something to eat. Being a sunny afternoon lots of divers enjoying the Delph. Lots of fish to see and the cafe is excellent. We had very good cheeseburger and lovely homemade chips. Nice as a none diver on a sunny afternoon.

Vist Delph for open water swimming regularly. Great venue for training etc - a kids free area is important for an untroubled swim. Staff always friendly and helpful, water quality excellent. A lovely swim in a lovely setting - cant beat it on a sunny day.

It’s a dive centre not a kids playground, unfortunately no matter how helpful the staff are people don’t realise how dangerous the place is, the water is cold and deep, if kids throw stone’s then unsuspecting divers get hurt,
Most families love feeding the fish and eating at the cafe (food and drinks are fresh and reasonably priced, everything is freshly made)
I’ve always found the staff friendly and very helpful, it’s a good place to dive if only to keep your hand in and it’s local and a sensible price to join and dive, lots of swimmers in the summertime as well as divers so they must be doing something right
I’m a regular visitor all year round and highly recommend the Delphi and cafe

Visited with kids. Happy to take our money but extremely grumpy old guy is very precious about his boulders and kids daring to sit on them. Attempted to spoil a pleasant afternoon complaining about young children not reading signs (that weren’t visible to them). Real charmer.

I use the centre on a regular basis to service bottles and for refills. Unsure as to what people expect from this dive centre when I’ve read other reviews! There are signs everywhere explaining the simple rules and there is a reasons these simple rules both for health and safety and also water quality not to mention that it is a business and businesses cost money to run and need to make money! First and foremost it’s a dive centre but there is a great cafe where you can purchase food and drinks at a very reasonable price. The staff answer all questions and have always been accommodating and helpful. Well worth the visit and Although I have options, i will continue to use the centre for the great service.

This is a really friendly dive centre.
The cafe is very good - fresh cooked food, fresh salads, and friendly service.
The diving is good although visibility for diving is not great - but that’s a good challenge to your navigation skills! Buoys and ropes laid out on the bottom help you to navigate.
Nice to see cyclists, bikers, swimmers, and people just out for a visit and a cuppa.

Came on a sunny Sunday afternoon and pleasantly surprised. It is an old quarry converted into a diving centre but suitable to us on divers. Really nice location, great seeing the divers, delph full of koi carp and other fish. Nice walk around the lake and a pleasant cafe for snacks and drinks. Will visit again.
