Here's a OSRS Vorkath guide I wrote in class (and spent way too much time on) like 5 months ago that I needed to post somewhere.

-Intro-
Maybe you need to complete Dragon Slayer II, maybe you're ready to make some money, or maybe you just have a Blue Dragon task and want to do it. For any of these purposes, this guide can help you kill Vorkath.

-What is Vorkath?-
Vorkath is an undead Blue Dragon, and a solo-only boss. People typically kill him for money as it's good gp/hr and very consistent. You fight him once during Dragon Slayer II and can fight him infinitely after the quest, although he will be slightly more powerful and have more health.

-Location-
Vorkath is located on Ungael, which you access both during and after the quest by talking to Torfinn on the docks of Rellekka. You have a few options to get to him, the best one is to teleport to Lunar Isle by a portal in your house, then bank at the rightmost banker to prepare (he is the only NPC that won't kick you off the island if you don't have a Seal of Passage). Afterwards, try to bank at a different banker to get kicked off the island and you'll be right at the Rellekka docks with your gear and supplies. If you've done the Fremennik Elite diary, you can't get kicked off by anyone and can instead use the orb on the table to be sent to the same spot. You can also use Fremennik Sea Boots (limited if you don't have tier 4), the Enchanted Lyre, a redirected House Tablet (furthest away), or a Waterbirth Island Teleport (take the boat to Rellekka). These methods are fine, but you'd have to bank somewhere else so it's not really worth it unless you're just getting 1 kill for the quest.

-Stats-

Recommended Stats (Range):
90 Range
70 Defence
77 Prayer (Rigour unlocked)

If you can't be bothered training range even more than you probably already have, 85 will be good enough, but 90 is obviously better (each level is about +1% dps). You really want Rigour as your first upgrade for Vorkath, it will likely add at least 1 more kill to trips. If you don't have it yet, you'll have it soon enough after doing Vorkath for a bit.

Lowest Recommended Stats (Range):
80 Range
40/42 Defence (Blowpipe/DHCB)
44 Prayer

These stats are more likely only for the quest. You may not have the money for Rigour yet but your Range and Defence can be easily AFKed if you can't be bothered doing Slayer (but you should really be doing Slayer at this point in your account). The reason the minimum defences are so low is that those are the requirements for D'Hide and Void respetively. Even if you don't wanna get higher stats, these will work enough to get you kills.

Recommended Stats (Melee)
85 Attack
90 Strength
85 Defence
70 Prayer

Honestly, just get your Strength as high as possible if you're gonna use melee. Of course, the 70 Prayer is for Piety, which is mandatory unless you want your kills to be insanely slow.

-Range Gear-

If you have better gear than listed, then use it. Keep in mind that if you can afford Armadyl, then you're better off buying a Dragon Hunter Crossbow instead.

Void: Only use Void if you have a Dragon Hunter Crossbow OR if you're using Blowpipe and BGS with 90+ Range and Rigour. Otherwise it will ALWAYS be less DPS than D'hide in a regular setup.

Elite Void: The recommended choice when using the Dragon Hunter Crossbow, as it gives the most DPS for that weapon (and has good prayer bonus, which is really nice). Honestly, if you don't have Elite Void but you have a Dragon Hunter Crossbow, you should take the time to get it. It'll be worth it.

Head: Blessed Coif is the usual choice for a Blowpipe, but an Archer's Helm works as well. If you're really getting messed up by range attacks, you can use Verac's Helm but it's discouraged due to it lowering your DPS.

Body/Legs: Use Blessed D'hide, or Black D'hide if you're extremely poor (same DPS but Black D'hide is made of paper, you will take more damage). Karil's is technically better than Blessed D'hide due to its higher Range and Magic Defence, but it's not really worth due to repair costs (and it's not even higher DPS).

Feet: Blessed D'hide boots are very good for the price. If you're too poor for them you can use Shayzien Boots 5 (you'll need Kourend favor at some point, and Shayzien is relatively fast) or Snakeskin Boots.

Hands: Use Barrows Gloves. If you don't have them, *technically* Blessed/Black D'hide Vambraces are only 1 Range bonus worse, but they look way less cool and you should have Barrows Gloves by now.

Neck: The Salve Amulet (ei) is best in slot for Range, and it's free (minus the NMZ points), so use it. If you're just doing the quest and can't be bothered to get 850k NMZ points or something, then just use a Necklace of Anguish (best) or Amulet of Fury or Amulet of Glory (worst). Doing this will significantly lower your DPS, but it can get you the quest kill.

Back: Use Ava's Accumulator if you don't have the Assembler yet, and use the Assembler if you have it.

Ring: Archers Ring (i) is best if you can afford it as DPS is basically the best stat at Vorkath. If you can't, Brimstone Ring is second best and Ring of Suffering (i) is third best due to its massive defences (don't need recoil charges, Vorkath is immune). If you can't afford those, the ring depends on your weapon. With a Dragon Hunter Crossbow, use a Seers Ring (i) for Magic Defence. With a Blowpipe, use a Granite Ring (i) for Range Defence.

Ammo: Use Rada's Blesing 2+ or a God Blessing with the Blowpipe, check the weapons section for other ammo.

Weapon: The Dragon Hunter Crossbow is best in slot for Range at Vorkath. It does absurd damage and you also take minimal damage while using it compared to any other weapon. For ammo, take Ruby Dragon Bolts (e) and Diamond Dragon Bolts (e). The budget option is the Toxic Blowpipe with Amethyst Darts, and the lowest you should camp Vorkath with. The Welfare option is a Magic Shortbow (imbued if possible) with Amethyst Arrows or a Rune Crossbow with Ruby Bolts (e) and Diamond Bolts (e), the MSB will be better base DPS but the bolt effects can make a big difference.

Offhand: Use an Anti-Dragon Shield with a crossbow. If you have the money, a Dragonfire Ward should be your first upgrade.

Special Attack: You can bring a Bandos Godsword or even a Dragon Warhammer to drain Vorkath's defense. It's optional and not useful for a Dragon Hunter Crossbow setup.

Inventory: Your inventory depends on your gear and prayers. If using a Dragon Hunter Crossbow, it's assumed you have Rigour, and if you don't, get it. In your inventory will be Diamond Bolts, 3 dose Divine Ranging Potion, 2 dose Extended Super Antifire, 3 dose Anti-Venom+, 3 Prayer Potions, a Slayer Staff or Staff of the Dead (explained later), Rune Pouch with Law, Chaos, and Dust Runes, and the rest is food that heals for 22 (Manta Rays, Dark Crabs, Tuna Potatoes, Anglerfish if you have 93+ max health, pick whatever is cheapest) or Sharks (bring better food if it gives longer trips). For a Blowpipe with Rigour, use a 2 dose Divine Ranging Potion, 2 dose Extended Super Antifire, 2 dose Anti-Venom+, 2 Prayer Potions, Slayer Staff, Rune Pouch with Law, Chaos, and Dust runes, and any food that heals for at least 20 (Sharks are fine). If you don't have Rigour, keep the Blowpipe with Rigour inventory setup, but you might want a normal 2 dose Ranging Potion instead of a Divine one, you only need 1 Prayer Potion (typically; might need 2 if <70 Prayer), and you can put the runes in your inventory if you don't have a Rune Pouch yet.

-Melee Gear-

Honestly, if you're using a Lance, you probably already know how to do melee Vorkath (it's basically the same as ranged). But I'll explain it anyway, just in case. And as always, if you have better gear (like Torva), use it.

Note: Your Magic bonus can become a problem in this setup only, so CHECK if you have ABOVE -64 Magic bonus with your staff equipped, if you don't you will ALWAYS splash Crumble Undead (you can unequip a piece of armor to circumvent this if it brings you above the threshold). Explained in more detail later.

Head: With an Amulet of Tortune and Blue Dragon task, a Slayer Helm becomes the best helmet to use. Otherwise, use a Neitiznot Faceguard or Serpentine Helm. A Helm of Neitiznot works but isn't ideal.

Body/Legs: Bandos is ideal as you're gonna get melee'd by Vorkath unless you're flinching out of his melee range (which is really not worth the effort). If you're poor, you could use a Fighter Torso with Obsidian Platelegs/Verac's Plateskirt (check if it gives you a max hit), but it's not *really* worth to melee if that's the case (basically, melee Vorkath is only better than ranged if you already have money, but it's super fun so don't let lack of efficiency stop you from trying).

Feet: You should use Dragon Boots because they're pretty cheap and super good. Primordial Boots aren't exactly worth it, but an upgrade is still an upgrade.

Hands: Ferocious Gloves wreck anything that come in their path, they're about the same level of upgrade as a Fury to a Torture (but for half the price). The only problem is they destroy your Magic bonus (this is the main reason Range is more chill), so you'll almost definitely splash Crumble Undead if you don't take off armor. If you wanna avoid this problem or are poor, Barrows Gloves are still second best in slot for melee.

Neck: Use an Amulet of Torture only on task with a Slayer Helm, otherwise use a Salve Amulet (e). There's no excuse to not have it as it's a quest reward (don't forget to enchant it), you don't even need to do NMZ.

Back: Typically you'd use a Fire Cape, but of course use an Infernal Cape if you have it.

Ring: The Berserker Ring (i) is standard for melee. If you have a Ring of Suffering (i) but not a Berserker Ring for some reason, use that. You could also use a Tyrannical Ring (i) if you're poor, and a Granite Ring (i) if you're extremely poor.

Ammo: Rada's Blessing 4 is best in slot, otherwise use Rada's Blessing 2/3 or a God Blessing.

Weapon: The Dragon Hunter Lance is what you should be using for melee because it absolutely destroys Vorkath, and it's super satisfying to use. Any other weapon is a significant downgrade and not really worth using. With that said, a Ghrazi Rapier (which is more expensive than the Lance...) or Zamorakian Hasta can get you kills.

Offhand: You want maximum DPS at Vorkath, so use a Dragon Defender (or Avernic Defender if rich). Don't bring the Dragonfire Shield or Anti-Dragon Shield.

Special Attack: If you have Dragon Claws, bring them. If you're using the Lance, you don't need a spec weapon. IF you're not using it, you should probably bring a Bandos Godsword or Dragon Warhammer because you're gonna have a hard time without them.

Inventory: You'll want a 3 dose Divine Super Combat, 2 dose Extended Super Antifire, 3 dose Anti-Venom+, 3 Prayer Potions, Slayer Staff or Staff of the Dead, Rune Pouch with Law, Chaos, and Dust Runes, and the rest is high healing food (typically Manta Rays/Anglerfish/Sharks).

-Attacks-

Vorkath has a total of 9 attacks he can use, which once understood makes the boss simple. He will use 6 normal attacks before using a random special attack. After 6 more attacks, the other special attack will be used, repeating until the end of the fight.

Range: A gray spiky ball with a max hit of 32. Damage can be prevented with Protect From Missiles.

Mage: A blue fireball with a max hit of 30. Damage can be prevented with Protect From Magic.

Melee: Vorkath can melee you if you're standing in melee range, with a max hit of 32. Damage can be prevented with Protect From Melee, but you will never be praying it.

Dragonfire: An orange dragonfire attack with a max hit of 50. Vorkath's dragonfire attacks can only be stopped by 3 layers of antifire (Extended Super Antifire is 2, Anti-Dragon Shield is 1, Protect From Magic is 1, you need 3 total).

Venom: A green dragonfire attack that has a high chance of inflicting venom. Drink your Anti-Venom+ if this happens.

Prayer Disable: A pink dragonfire attack that will disable your prayers when it hits. Make sure to turn them back on.

Mortar: An orange dragonfire attack that looks like a mortar will fly into the air and fall onto you. You MUST move 2 tiles away before it hits the ground or you'll take about 120 damage, halved if only 1 tile away.

Acid: One of Vorkath's special attacks that will spew green acid on the floor. He'll also start launching fireballs at you once per tick. Make sure you're ALWAYS moving during this attack or you'll take up to 40 damage. Walking over the acid will deal about 10 damage and heal Vorkath the same amount.

Freeze: A white dragonfire attack that does no damage will be fired at you, freezing you instantly. A Zombified Spawn will be launched somewhere nearby, and you need to kill it before it reaches you and explodes for about 60 damage. The easiest way to do this is the Crumble Undead spell as it will always kill the spawn, and you can set a Slayer Staff or Staff of the Dead to autocast the spell (equip during the phase and click on the Spawn), which is the easiest way to deal with this attack.

-The Fight-

Enter the arena and Vorkath will be sleeping, UNLESS you're doing the quest, where the fight will instantly start once you enter. Drink your boosting potion and Extended Super Antfire, and make sure your staff is set to autocast Crumble Undead. Your quick prayers depend on your weapon. For one-handed range weapons with an Anti-Dragon Shield, Protect From Missiles and your best Range boosting prayer (Eagle Eye/Rigour). For the Blowpipe, Protect From Magic and your best Range boosting prayer. For Melee, Protect From Magic and Piety (you'll also want this on for special attack weapons). Also, make sure you're walking as running makes the acid phase harder. Poke Vorkath, activate your quick prayers (or Piety and Protect From Magic if using special attacks), and immediately use 1-2 special attacks if you have them (use 2 if the first doesn't hit, you get a terrible BGS hit, or you're fine with a 1 kill trip). Otherwise, start attacking Vorkath with your main weapon. As I've already gone over all attacks, the fight is very simple. Turn on your prayer if he turns it off, drink your Anti-Venom+ if he venoms you, move if he fires a mortar, walk around if he uses acid, and use Crumble Undead if you're frozen. If your Magic bonus is -64 or lower, you'll ALWAYS splash Crumble Undead, so you'll need to take off a piece of armor before casting or take armor with a higher magic bonus to prevent that (Barrows Gloves instead of Ferocious Gloves is the main solution). You typically only want to eat during special attacks, as your DPS is limited during those times. If Vorkath can max hit your current health with a standard range/mage/melee attack, you should probably eat without waiting. Make sure to switch bolts at 300 health if you have them, and relax if you're nervous. After getting a kill, you can either wake him up again if you have the supplies/inventory space or grab your loot and teleport out.

-Item Retrieval-

When you die, you can reclaim your items from Torfinn (on the Rellekka docks or Ungael) for 100k. He can take the money directly from your bank.

-Tips-

These tips will be arranged in order from easiest to hardest. Once all these are mastered, it's likely you'll never run out of money.

Combo Eat: Combo eating here doesn't refer to eating food into a Karambwan as we don't bring any. When you need to drink a Prayer Potion and eat food, eat the food then instantly drink the potion to do both in one animation. This only helps if you were originally going to drink the potion first, as doing that blocks eating for a few ticks.

Turn Off Prayer: Turn off your prayer when he's using a special attack as you're not attacking Vorkath, it'll save prayer (unless Woox Walking, seen below).

Don't Pick Up Loot: If you're going for a multiple kill trip, you can leave your loot on the ground while you start another kill as it'll last for 30 minutes in the insance before despawning, and picking up loot multiple times is inefficient. DON'T do this if you're not comfortable, as if you die you'll lose all of the loot on the ground.

Tick Eat: Tick eating is when you eat out of a lethal attack by timing your food properly. It's not too complicated to tick eat a Range/Mage attack that would be lethal, simply eat your food while the projectile is on the screen (but before the damage will hit you). The normal attacks can't hit more than your current health, so you'll never die even if you wouldn't heal above his max hit with that food. This helps you save ticks by only eating when actually needed. However, if you mess this up then there's a decent chance you'll die.

Woox Walk: This technique is widely recognized, efficient, fun, and also the hardest thing to do at Vorkath. The Woox Walk is different based on your weapon, but the general idea is to keep attacking Vorkath during the acid attack while never staying on the same tile for more than 1 tick. I'd recommend keeping at least boosting prayers on during this phase for more damage, although all damage dealt is reduced by 50% during this phase. To make this phase quite a bit easier, turn on "Tile Indicators" plugin on RuneLite and use the "True Tile" function to see your actual location. With a Blowpipe, stand at your max attack range (the middle between Vorkath and the back wall), walk around when the attack starts, and look for 2 free tiles, 1 in the middle and one behind it. Start on the free tile further from Vorkath and click on him to attack, then click on or behind the further tile after you're on the closer tile (based on your true tile indicator). Repeat clicking on Vorkath to attack and clicking to walk back until the phase is over. Vorkath's fireballs during this phase are on a 1 tick cycle, so you could also click once every fireball or just once every tick. Using a Crossbow, your "far" tiles are the ones closest to the back wall and you can attack when walking 1 tile closer to Vorkath. You can basically do anything as long as you click on Vorkath from the far tiles and be on those "closer" tiles every 5 ticks, attacking. The method I do uses a very condensed space so it'll almost always work. Start on any far tile and walk 2 tiles east or west. After you reach that tile, click on Vorkath and when you are on the close tile, click on your starting tile to repeat. See below for a visual.

0-* *-0
a-s or s-a
wall

Start on tile "s" and click on tile "a," once you're on tile "a," click on Vorkath. When you're on tile "0," click on tile "s." When you're on tile "s," the cycle repeats. The tile "*" is safe, you won't walk on it, so it's fine if there's acid on it. For the melee woox walk, start by moving to a place where there is a poison-free 2 tile gap between you and Vorkath (make sure the tile you're on is also clear). Click on Vorkath, and once you're on the closest tile to Vorkath, click on or behind your starting tile and repeat once you arrive.

-Rewards-

Once Vorkath is dead, he'll drop loot that always contains 2 Blue Dragonhide and 2 Superior Dragon Bones, as well as other loot. If you're doing the quest, he won't drop anything (I believe). Most of his drops are consistent and good money, with Dragon items being his best normal drops (Unfinished Dragon Bolts are his best regular drop at time of writing). He has some rare drops like the Skeletal and Draconic Visage (decent money), and the Dragonbone Necklace (<100k). He can also drop a jar for your POH Boss Lair Display (cheap but cool), and the pet Vorki (pretty cool).

-End-

After reading this guide, you should know everything needed to effectively kill Vorkath. Once you get a few kills done, it'll become very easy. At that point it's basically a consistent way to get infinite money with very little risk involved (unless you look away and he fires a mortar, which happens all the time). With that said, that's the end of the guide, thanks for reading.
