Eddie Murphy dressed in his iconic costume while riding in an old Ford Bronco for a scene in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley. 

The 61-year-old donned a black and gray letterman's jacket while sitting in the beat up blue car with an even lighter blue driver's side door. 

The car sat on a ramp with wheels, bright lights and monitors shining through the cars windshield for the scene.

Murphy seemed relaxed while sitting stationary on the shaded Los Angeles street. 

His hair was cut short and his mustache was trimmed neatly as he sat behind the wheel of the car.    

Murphy has been spotted filming on multiple occasions over the past few months in the iconic coat with the Detroit Lions symbol on it.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley, directed by Mark Molloy, is expected to be released in 2023. 

The first Beverly Hills Cop was released in 1984 and helped launched Murphy's film career as it told the story of a Detroit cop who investigates high profile cases in the City of Angels.

In 1987, Beverly Hills Cop II was released and followed the comedic detective back to California to help his old colleagues Rosewood and Taggart dissect the shooting of Captain Bogomi.

In the 1994 follow-up, Beverly Hills Cop III, Detective Foley discovered the same men who killed his boss ran a counterfeit money ring out of an LA theme park.

In BHC4, Foley continues his familiar narrative in the project, which is being directed by Mark Molloy and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman.

Last month, Murphy reportedly agreed to pay his former partner, Spice Girl Melanie Brown $35,000 a month in child support for their daughter, Angel Iris, 15.

The comedian and Mel shared a romance in November 2007. Murphy originally claimed he wasn't the father, but paternity tests later proved otherwise.
