Winona forever: The 90s icon is the new face of Rag & Bone

A decade after she famously posed for Marc Jacobs, the iconic '90s waif has landed a campaign for Autumn/Winter 2014.

Following in the footsteps of Miranda Kerr, Kate Moss, Léa Seydoux, Stacy Martin and Abbey Lee, Winona Ryder will front New York-based brand’s next campaign.

The Rag & Bone advertisement will be the star’s first fashion campaign in ten years. With her last big one being when Marc Jacobs infamously hired her in 2002, after she was busted giving herself a five finger discount on one of his knits at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills.

Of the appointment, Rag & Bone managing partner Marcus Wainwright told WWD, “Winona Ryder is a bona fide icon. One of the things that makes her so cool is that although she has this incredible career, she isn’t interested in being a movie star.” He added,  “For her, it’s all about the craft. She also has this beautiful timeless quality.”

The beautiful black and white images were shot by photographer Glen Luchford on location at Coney Island. Ryder will be joined by actor Michael Pitt, who will front the brand’s menswear advertisements for the second time.
