I'm enrolled as a full-time international student and all the stuff is very available for me in every aspect of the admission
WPU provided me with an amazing experience. All of my professors were true mentors who were passionate and esteemed in their field. The activities and extracurriculars on campus were stimulating. The facilities were clean and there was never a shortage of places to study. The library was one of my favorite places on campus. The nature and scenic views were easy on the eyes after long days of studying. The scholarship offerings and financial aid were generous and extensive. I recommend this school 1000%
I don't recommend this school. I had the worst experience with every department at this school. I am an online student, so I am forced to call the school to ask questions. They laugh and say drive to the school to get things resolved. I am an online student, which means I live across the country. They aren't knowledgeable. I've been lied to, and they rush me off the phone. They recently scammed me. They enrolled me in a digital textbook without my CONSENT!!! I purchased a textbook for a class twice. They forced me to pay for a service that I didn't use nor consent to. The only positive thing is I have a fantastic advisor and a few good professors. I pray that my last two semesters are a breeze. I called to ask about scholarships because I am an honor student. I was told that the university doesn't accept it for online students, which was another lie. I received an email about scholarships for online students who lived in New Jersey. Please save your time and money.
It's great. My major is music, and it's one of the best programs in the world. All of the professors are nice.
I like how inclusive William Paterson University is. It is very diverse and open to all types of people. William Paterson is a hidden gem. It is extremely affordable and a decent college in regards to academics and resources. However, it has a bad rep due to the area. I like my classes and the ability to chose class times and basically create my own schedule. I play volleyball here and I really enjoy the athletics. They are intense for D3 which is what I prefer. The campus spirit is no the best, so I would like to see that change. There are mostly commuters here. It is definitely a suitcase school. The weekends here are pretty empty with little to no campus life. The frats and sororities are very small and almost nonexistent. However, the campus is beautiful and the dining hall is nice. There is often a variety of food to choose from over the week. But on the weekends the food is scarce. There are also counseling services offered here which is nice.
My experience in William Paterson is surprisingly doing well since I did not expect much on my first year. I met a lot of friends and some professors guided me throughout the semester. It is also a great help to have tutors around that made me have good grades.
Resources and opportunities to succeed are present, but you must tap into your network of professors. Make sure you connect with faculty that taught classes you enjoyed, they are the most useful connections you will make in undergrad. Make an impression, show enthusiasm and they will try their hardest to see you succeed.
I like that that advisors/ counselor are always there willing to help the students. I would to to see a change in he school to help the low income students that are full time student with meal plans and help with books through funds.
Throughout my college years, I felt like I been through ups and downs. Freshmen year, I started off so good, where I was getting A's and B's. However, in my sophomore year, everything fell, my grades went down and I was very depressed. My aunt was very sick and by the end of June, she passed away.

The university offers a wide range of academic programs taught by knowledgeable faculty members who are passionate about their fields. The university provides ample support services for students, including tutoring, counseling, career services, and more, ensuring that students have the resources they need to succeed. The campus is often praised for its beauty, offering a serene and conducive environment for learning and growth.
I've enjoyed being able to take a variety of classes that go with my major and the campus isn't to being as well. I can travel from one building to the next quite easily which makes attending my classes on time doable. The staff are nice and do a good job of keeping the campus safe and inclusive. They have many event through each semester to include students on diversity and social club offerings.
William Paterson is big but medium Uni . It a School for all kinds of race and ethnicity’s. Here on campus people are kind , The only thing is the faculty but besides the faculty I give it a thumbs up!
I really like the school, actually. The only thing I'd have a complaint about is that there are limited course offerings, and certain policies (freshmen can't take online courses, TWO mandatory semesters of freshmen seminar) actually hinder my steps in my education. They should remove policies like that.
My experience at William Paterson was well. I had professors who were always willing to help and were very supportive. The classes were very manageable while having a job.
My experience at William Paterson has gone smoothly. The work is not to overwhelming and professors are very understanding. Around midterm and finals it does get a bit overwhelming but the school has study centers and tutoring groups which help a lot.
I have been very happy with WIlliam Paterson and the level of attention they give to all of their students.
It's a good school. I took mostly art classes or anything related to it so I don't know about the other subjects and their professors but mine were very good. My art professors are very helpful and friendly. They are fair and you come out of their classrooms with more knowledge than before. The classmates are all good people and are very respectful.
Very good environment with professors who care and love to teach. William Paterson University is one of the best affordable colleges and has very much helped it’s students.
I transferred over to William Paterson University in 2020. While attending here, I have met such generous people and professors who really want you to learn. The professors leave their mark in the knowledge they spread. It is definitely a blissful experience
It has been good so far. Most of the teachers are very good. They make sure that you’re doing well in each of your classes and they want you to pass.
