      Audience Member If you are looking for a scary movie this is not it! Don’t waste your time! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/09/24 Full Review Orlando C Cult status level horror. One of the most frightening found films of all time. Unfortunately the sequels degenerate with each new incarnation. I would almost say watch this one and pretend it's a stand alone film. There are so many elements that make this film so engrossing and chilling - the atmosphere, the well placed jump scares, the pacing, the pitch-perfect camera work, the location. One can go on and on with the superlatives in a lengthy review. But the one thing I'll call out here is the dialog. I think it has the best found footage script i've ever seen. With very few exceptions, the way the characters talk and interact is completely believable. Very organic and natural. You really believe this is off the cuff stuff captured on video. I was so blown away the first time I saw this film and noticed that during my first watching the movie, that subsequent viewing I concentrated on the dialog to see if it was just a first blush thing and I imagined it was better than it was that first time. But not only was it that good, it seemed to get better every time I watched it. Incredible movie.
