Robert Lee Andrews Sr.

Robert (Bob) L. Andrews Sr., age 93, of Jacksonville, FL went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 29, 2021. Bob was born on October 2, 1927, in Buchtel , Ohio, to Ralph and Katherine Andrews. He was preceded in death, by his beloved wife, Margaret, on June 4, 2003, his son Larry Wayne Andrews Sr. on November 23, 2004 and grandson Robert (Robby) L. Andrews III, on April 23, 2021.

Bob was a proud patriot who loved his country and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1945. He was an active member of Normandy Park Baptist Church. Bob was a Masonic Freemason for over 61 years, a member of Woodstock Park Lodge #313, Riverside Lodge #266, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and the Morocco Shrine Temple. He was a Past Master of Woodstock Park Lodge #313 for the year 1969. Bob was a founding member and at one time President of the Westside Shrine Club. He served as a Director of the Motorcycle Escort for Morocco Temple. His participation in this motorcycle unit was instrumental in raising awareness of the money that was needed for the Shriner’s hospitals to meet the medical costs for burned and crippled children.

Robert (Bob) is survived by 3 children a son, Robert L. Andrews II (Cathy), daughters Deborah M. Andrews & Rebecca R. Clark (Josh), 9 grandchildren, Mark Andrews (Sandi), Beau Andrews (Erica), Bryan Andrews (Heather), Larry W. Andrews II, Julie Andrews, Jessica Westmoreland (Kim), Stephen Collins, Brittany Strickland and Bradley Collins, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson and many family members still living in Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30am on Saturday June 12, 2021 at Normandy Park Baptist Church with Pastor Troy Dixon officiating. The internment take place at Riverside Memorial Park at 11:00am after the service. The Pallbearers will be Mark A. Andrews, Beau M. Andrews, Bryan S. Andrews, Stephen M. Collins, Bradley L. Collins and Josh C. Clark.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday June 11, 2021 between 5-7 pm at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32205
