What travelers are saying
- WinstonLuzon, Philippines399 contributionsDuring our visit to the famous falls in Baler this June, we had quite an adventurous experience. The weather appeared to be pleasant, although it started drizzling as we were about to begin our ascent. Despite the rain, we embarked on a 3.5-kilometer journey that took us approximately 3 hours to complete.
The trek itself was enjoyable and offered breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. Upon reaching the falls, we were greeted with a refreshing shower of water, which was a delightful reward for our efforts. It was a great opportunity to cool off and immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the place.
One important thing to note is that the bamboo-made cross bridge, which is part of the trail, requires careful navigation, particularly for elderly visitors. The bridge adds a touch of rustic charm to the experience, but caution is advised to ensure everyone's safety.
Another important aspect to mention is the recommendation for all tourists to hire a guide when visiting the falls. The guide can provide valuable insights about the area, ensure that visitors stay on the designated path, and guarantee a safer and more fulfilling experience overall. With their expertise, guides can enhance the journey by sharing interesting facts and stories about the falls, as well as ensuring everyone's well-being.
Overall, our trip to the famous falls in Baler was an enjoyable and memorable experience, despite the slight rain during our trek. The natural beauty, coupled with the refreshing shower at the falls, made it a worthwhile adventure. Just remember to exercise caution while crossing the bamboo bridge and consider hiring a guide to enhance your visit.Written June 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It offers you a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean, and Sierra Madre Mountain range. I learned this is where the surfing craze started in the Philippines way back in the 1970’s.
It’s easy to find this place and nearby are restaurants, hotels and bars. The only thing that I don’t like is the trash that is scattered on the shoreline.
Bring food when you visit the beach and have a picnic. It’s best to visit during sunrise and at night time. It can be very blisteringly hot during the day time.
Parking is available near the entrance of Costa Pacifica. Fee is ₱50/car.Written December 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Basically, with stony shoreline where you can enjoy the sunset and the blue sea. However, it is not meant for surfers. The rock formation itself is quite sharp so you have to be very careful.Written December 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Manross AlsagonBacoor, Philippines8 contributionsThis place is superb! Was lucky to visit this place before in the ECQ. We came here January, good thing because we enjoyed the site alone. We are the first to come during that day. Entrance is Php 300 per head and Php 100 for the car 'cuz we actually brought our own service. The road is tight and only one car (sedan) can pass at a time. No worries, there will be a guide at the entrance to control traffic. There's a pub where we enjoy our lunch and got a taste of Baler authentic cuisine.Written April 8, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anna May VPasig, Philippines2,774 contributionsThis was a 1-1.5 hour location away from the main areas of Baler. Compared to the other beaches in Baler, they had lighter, finer sand. There's a scattering of resorts in the area, so take your pick based on location and convenience, or cost.
Unfortunately, when we went, the waves were too high and we weren't allowed to swim. Good thing there was a nearby waterfalls (5-10 minute walk) and we had it all to ourselves.
Worth a visit when the weather is good. Bring your own food as there weren't any vendors along the route.Written November 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. this beach also offers several rock formations that can be reached by foot. its color is a complete contrast to the azure background which makes it even more interesting.

Now as far as surfing breaks go its quite small which makes it quite ideal for beginners. Its a good clean break with long rides. Sure there is better surf elsewhere in the PH but none with the history of Charlies Point.Written December 2, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anna May VPasig, Philippines2,774 contributionsI just love this place - the water is SO clear, and cool and refreshing. Not a swimming place, but definitely a place to sit on a rock and relax as the incredibly fresh water falls on you or passes through.
The water is so cool, you don't need to bring ice - just dip your drink bottles in the water and fish them out when you are ready to drink!
There are very few cottages and the place fills up lunchtime onward, so best reserve a cottage early if you need it. There are grills available, just bring your own charcoal.Written June 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. First are the pebble and stone beaches. It makes you want to do some rock balancing or take creative shots! - Malou BQuezon City, Philippines2,148 contributionsWe enjoyed this visit because the tree is really enormous that it allows for people to enter the hallow part of the tree. It can be an enchanting experience for those who allow the mystery of the balete tree to play Into one's imagination. Allow the local guide to take photos (they are trained) for you (be sure to give a tip)! - irenevffBulacan Province, Philippines4,009 contributionsi'm not kidding with the above title. this place is the most frequently visited barangay in baler because it boasts of a 3 km stretch of fine gray sand. too bad the shore is littered with all sorts of trash - plastics, foils, food rubbish, styro, anong others.
a lot of inns, hotels and transient homes are in this place. souvenir shops, eateries and convenience stores are everywhere. parking spaces are very limited, though.Written April 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
