- BundyClubBundanoon, Australia540 contributionsI am not a big automotive enthusiast but this museum is very well presented. The cars and trucks are organised to generate maximum interest, the collection is very large and just astonishing in size and scope. There are also a few other side exhibits such as tea towels, organs, cameras and Bric a brac. If I had any suggestions I would like to know why some of the Bric a brac is there. Good cafe. Quirky toilets. Friendly staff. Small but good gift shop.Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nalini NGreater Sydney, Australia651 contributionsGreat hardware shop with displays of the World's Fastest Indian. There is a cafe if you feel like a cuppa or lunch. - BundyClubBundanoon, Australia540 contributionsIf you are in Invercargill you need to go to Queens Park. A large park with manicured lawns and a large variety of plants. Be sure to see the ornate entrance gates. The park has a lovely 60s style garden pavilion cafe, a historic bandstand, a sizeable winter garden and a small but interesting aviary.Written May 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Grant NHastings, New Zealand1,515 contributionsWe'd been to the Transport World Museum and decided we needed to see the Motorcycle equivalent. It's unbelievably fantastic - the number of bikes for a start, the number of different makes/classes, the paint jobs, the quirky, the dangerous, the absolutely beautiful - it's all just worth wandering and reading. Watched the movie about Britten and his bikes - wonderful - NZ has some legends and he's one! His bikes are wonderful to look at. And there were so many others that are just works of art. If you're in Invercargill don't miss going here - the whole family will be entertained - the kids we saw couldn't stay still - they just kept running from bike to bike and then back again. And don't forget to check out the posters on the walls - some are really entertaining. Must see!Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- TWal1Canberra, Australia2,953 contributionsDriving in New Zealand is enjoyable. The main roads are generally in very good condition and there is plenty to see and do. It’s easy to become distracted so it’s better to pull over and take in the views. Leaving Dunedin and head south towards Invercargill brings you in contact with rich farming land, towns and villages. Heading from Invercargill towards Queenstown, the farms are replaced by stunning mountains and lakes. This is a wonderful journey - take your time and don’t rush.Written March 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Julie SAuckland, New Zealand9 contributionsWow, what a cool place; it's quirky and fun, with lots to look at; there's so much to see! One of the best places in Invercargill for sure. A lot of work has gone into this, and it's only a gold coin entrance fee; they could easily charge more. Loved it.Written March 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JPYLondon, UK566 contributionsWe drove onto the beach for sunset and it was so lovely. The beach is so deep and long it never feels crowded. We took food with us and it was great sitting in the car/on the beach watching the sun go down.
It's a very short drive from the centre of Invercargill.
There were a few cars driving like idiots but they were few and far between, so don't let that put you off.Written April 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It’s very much a functioning Catholic Church so it’ll be open before and after services. Plain inside it has a large rose window. It’s location is n

- kevola76New Plymouth, New Zealand15 contributionsWe stayed for one night and it was really pleasant. Really friendly owner welcomed us and showed us where everything is. There’s even a coin operated washing machine which was very handy. The gardens are beautiful and the ducks/geese are very curious - maybe they were expecting some food?Written October 25, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TWal1Canberra, Australia2,953 contributionsNew Zealand’s cities and towns have memorials to the sacrifices of the Great War and subsequent conflicts. The impact on a relatively new country must have been immense. This is one of the more striking memorials. - 422ianaDunedin, New Zealand3,324 contributionsAn on and off rainy day in Invercargill. Only there for 45 minutes, but we could have stayed longer. The building, which is not open reminds me of something out of the Sound of Music. A very good kids play area and a nice 15 minute walk around the gardens. There were quite a few Tui's.Written October 7, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
