As a result, Imperial’s neighbours include a number of world leading cultural organizations including the Science, Natural History and Victoria and Albert museums; the Royal Colleges of Art and Music; and the Royal Albert Hall, where all of their students also graduate.

There is plenty of green space too, including two Royal Parks (Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens) within 10 minutes’ walk of campus. Travel to and from the area is also really easy as it’s served by three Tube lines and many bus routes.

Available programs

Imperial offers three-year Bachelor's or four-year integrated Master's courses in engineering and natural sciences as well as degrees within the School of Medicine and the Imperial College Business School. Undergraduates can take advantage of courses in the Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication; and the I-Explore programme to broaden their studies. Imperial College London offers in the region of 250 postgraduate taught degrees and research qualifications within science, engineering, technology, medicine and business (STEMB).

Imperial has a number of Global Challenge Institutes and research centers which offer qualifications at postgraduate level. .

Admissions
If you intend to apply for a master’s degree the college minimum requirement is a UK Lower Second Class Honours degree. The majority of courses have higher requirements, usually a minimum of a UK Upper Second Class Honours. They also accept a wide range of international qualifications.

For admission to a PhD, MPhil, MD (Res) or EngD research program the College would normally expect you to hold or achieve a master's degree, in addition to a bachelor's degree at UK Upper Second Class Honours level.

For entry requirements relating to a specific master’s degree, see their online course pages . All entry requirements reflect the minimum requirement needed to be considered for admission. They often ask for higher than their minimum requirements, due to the demanding and competitive nature of their programs.

Meeting academic requirements does not guarantee entry, it is only one of the factors taken into account when selectors make their decision: other factors such as suitability for the course, proficiency in English (you will need to have passed a College-approved English test to the standard set out in the requirements for your course of interest), relevant work experience and references are also important.

Language support
While all of their degree courses are taught in English, the College offers a number of resources to students whose first language is not English through their Centre for Academic English, including:

Pre-sessional English language courses before they start at the College
English language classes for undergraduates and exchange students, Master’s students and PhD students once they start their course
a language pairs scheme

Full motion flight simulator used for investigating the handling qualities and performance of existing and future aircraft
Carbon capture pilot plant – stretching over four floors and built to industrial standards
Hydrodynamics laboratory for measuring waves and their impact
KPMG Data Observatory (DO), the largest of its kind in Europe, featuring a circular wall of 64 monitors powered by 32 computers facilitating 313 degrees of surround vision
Test-flight facilities for hybrid unmanned aerial robots in a lab that is equipped with 16 high-speed 3D cameras capable of tracking the robots in flight, and a further eight for tracking underwater movement
Wind tunnels, covering speeds from a few meters per second to Mach 9

Student life

Imperial offers a huge range of student activities, including 380+ student-led clubs, societies and projects. Groups range from a drone society and e-sports to a capella and yoga, as well as a variety of music and theatre groups. It’s also easy to find reminders of home through our cultural societies, including the Arabic, Indian, Italian, Japanese, and Korean societies amongst many others. The International Student Support team also offer a range of activities to help international students make the most of their time in the UK.
